Introduction
Welcome to the Battle of Bucharest 2017, a tournament brought to you by the Lithuanian Esports Federation (LEF) in partnership with TaleWorlds Entertainment and PGL for the finals in Bucharest, Romania.

This tournament will be fought in two categories, 'DUEL' (1vs1) and 'TEAM' (5vs5). Sign ups for the qualifiers are open right now, until Tuesday 9th May. Four qualifying teams and four qualifying duelists will be brought to the PGL studio in Bucharest, for the weekend of 20th May, to battle it out for a total prize pool of $10,000.

Mount & Blade: Warband has unique appeal as an esports title, owing to its intuitive combat system that is easy to learn but impossible to master and acclaimed simulation of medieval combat. For this reason, LEF has partnered with developers TaleWorlds Entertainment to host the first offline finals for a Mount & Blade game, with the goal of gaining experience for the future and providing a fantastic, historic event for the community.

"Can I Join?"
The tournament is running completely open qualifiers, however given that finalists will have their flights and accommodation to Bucharest paid for, we unfortunately have not been able to budget for travel outside of Europe. Additionally we cannot provide you with assistance obtaining a visa. This means you must be able to travel to Romania already, and essentially limits participation to EU member countries, with a few exceptions. You must also be 16 years of age or older, able to fly by yourself and acquire parental permission to attend the tournament alone if you are under 18, or it is required by your country for any other reason.

For more information and links to sign up, visit our Sign-Ups page.

this is amazing but why no budget for travels from Turkey and Russia
Actually this is to do with visas. Due to the timescale, we cannot assist you with obtaining a visa to enter Romania.

This is unfortunate and next time, we'll definitely be able to provide help for Russian and Turkish participants.

How will NA v EU be handled
Unfortunately we cannot accept NA participants due to budgetary constraints... it's something I personally really pushed for but ultimately, the decision was taken that it was better to have a simple, successful event completed first and then attempt more later on. We're absolutely determined to offer an event that will cater to the NA community in future.

Any details on what stuff we'll be playing on? Do we need to bring our own stuff to play with etc.
Well it's recommended you bring your own KB/M but up to you!

A bit short notice. Most people are gonna struggle to find a team of players that can also 100% attend the finals.
Yes, unfortunately we had to announce very late this time, for reasons somewhat beyond our control. Hopefully we'll get a good number of teams that form over the weekend though and duels should be fine.

Wow, this is brilliant. I am down to help in art department, lust. If you should need anything.

Huge step!
