Just watched the Bannerlords demo review on PC Gamers's YouTube channel and I must say i'm impressed ... but a few things did show out as not the best. The strategic map quality seems dated, even kiddy in appearance (disproportional). i understand this might be an effort to recapture the feel of the orginal game but the orig game had poor strat graphics because of hardware limitations.
I've created stunning strategic map views using satellite height map data. Below is a map of the Rome and the Tibur valley. looks very life like and professional. I understand there are still hardware limitions etc but you don't need to use high resolutions for sat images, the rain wash outs still look great @ low resolutions.
Bannerlords doesn't need to use full sat images, just say 30 - 50% blend with what's currently demoed ?
