UNITY: TALEWORLDS TOGETHER UNDER NORTH KOREAN EMPIRE
-Banner hung in the cities of all members of the new Comintern alliance
Following an extended open war between North Korea and the Werenian/Vikings alliance, the Werenian war effort collapsed after a string of decisive North Korean victories yesterday, pushing through the night and into the final day of the conflict, November 27th. Despite some initial gains early in the war when the Vikings joined the conflict, bringing the war into Giglegrad several times, the North Korean war machine built up steam until there was no stopping its relentless drive on its foes. Dozens of Werenian and Viking soldiers fell under the boots of our comrades as the Red Army advanced on their lands, until at last, with their supply depots and industrial centers falling into righteous Communist hands, the Werenians capitulated. After some negotiation, an honorable oath of fealty was given before the Supreme Leader by the Werenian commander, Beny, thus ending the war between the Taleworlds brethren, freeing the workers from the capitalist yoke. They join their brothers, the Laconians, who have accepted the embrace of the Motherland openly and without reservation, sacrificing sovereignty for Communist brotherhood.
In addition, North Korea recently celebrated the announcement of an alliance between the Motherland, and the United Saphirian Socialist Republics, cementing a friendship between the two great nations. The honor is twofold, for the normally isolationist North Korea is rare to offer an alliance to non-Taleworlders. The ideals of Moatist Communism now spread across the server like a Red wave, comrades, uniting the proletariat everywhere with a raised hammer and sickle. To organize the exportation of the Revolution, the Supreme Leader has formed Comintern, an international organization of Communist states, to coordinate military, economic, and diplomatic policies. The Ministry of Enlightenment has been created to run the North Korean offices of Comintern, headed by Tiberius Decimus Maximus, while the Moatist Church will handle the ideological-religious arm of Comintern. The official alliance has 48 members, with more included as converts to Moatism.
However, the spread of Comintern still has its enemies, however insignificant. The treacherous Vikings reneged on their word, bribing their ally Yellow to declare war on North Korea to prevent the Motherland from recovering manpower, before breaking their month long peace treaty and declaring war, after a brief respite to recover their own manpower. Truly the capitalist scum have no honor, their hearts so corrupted by their greed and spite for their common man. The administration is currently investigating the Vikings crimes, and will surely purge the corruption that plagues their rotten nation. However, whatever the means, whatever the cost, the North Korean Empire will surely prevail. The Motherland will have its triumph.
THE SAVIOR OF THE MOTHERLAND: THE HERO-COMRADE JEREGOR
-Picture of the newly decorated Hero of the Republic, Field Marshal Jeregor, at the Front
Many heroes emerged as a result of the War of Taleworlds Unification, Red Fury in their hearts as they tore down the decadent institutions of their capitalist foes, and breaking the chains of the oppressed brothers of the proletariat. But our finest warrior, the very ideal of Moatist Communism, the prodigal son of the Motherland, the Moat, and the Supreme Leader, is the example which all comrades of Comintern follow. Our Field Marshal Jeregor was the instrument of Red Victory, the Hammer that strikes upon the Dear Leader's foes, the missionary of Moatism, spreading the Communist ideals by the sword. With his leadership and skill at arms, Comrade Jeregor has led his men to victory after victory in the past two days. He has made us all proud, and for his valor and achievements, the Field Marshal was recently awarded the medal of the Hero of the Republic by the Supreme Leader himself.
The great Field Marshal was in command during the turning of the tide yesterday, when the fortunes of war turned against the foe, and the Communist war machine began its advance. A force of more than two divisions of the Werenian-Viking Axis army was arrayed outside the new Battlemoat, 12 in total, only just being held off by Minister Piepei. For an hour the Minister of Justice held off the Axis foe, fending off each exhausting attack, until at last reinforcements arrived. Comrades Piepei, Cropo, and Burgess, united with zeal for the defense of the Motherland, charged forward, counterattacking the besieging force. Meanwhile, Jeregor moved to their rear, alone, his presence alone worth an entire division, to cut off their retreat. The charge sounded, the Hero of the Republic rushed forward, trapping the enemy on the bridge of the Moat. Four fell to the garrison's blades, and yet more to Jeregor's. The survivors, rather than attempt to face North Korea's finest soldier, chose to jump off the bridge and fall to their death in the Moat, fearing Jeregor more than the terrible death awaiting them in the depths. Attempting to rally the faltering Axis morale, the Werenian leader Beny challenged Jeregor twice in one on one combat, only to be slain each time.
The night continued on, and Red Fury carried the North Korean banner further into enemy territory. While the rest of the Red Army engaged the Axis forces elsewhere, comrade Jeregor marched deep into the heart of Axis Werenia alone. There, he intercepted an entire Werenian Division as they traveled to the Front. Despite being outnumbered 5 to 1, he slew the entire division, plus another from the reinforcements. As he pushed the Werenians back, he stumbled upon the main Werenian Arms Manufactury. Taking what he could, he demolished the rest, and headed back to the Front lines. Despite his wounds, and the swarms of Axis soldiers, he managed to return the liberated supplies to his comrades at the front. Shortly after his singlehanded raid into Werenia, they sued for peace, cowed by the might of the Red Army and its great heroes. Glory to their names, comrades, and glory to the Motherland. Theirs was the hand that planted the banner of Comintern on liberated soil.
PERSIAN RAID ON SACRED SOIL: ZENDAR PLUNDERED
-Zendarian stores burn after the Persian raid
Zendar, headed by the esteemed and respected Chief Architect Lyze, has always been the symbol of the creative spark of the Taleworlds Community. Whereas many powerful PvP factions have come and gone, each claiming to be the greatest military force on the server, the works of Lyze have always been the unquestionably finest architectural works our server has ever seen. Encouraged by this new land, he returned to grace us with his vision, and after the Northmen-Korean War, split off to build Zendar as the symbol of our migrant community. A fortress and an architectural wonder both, the vision was immense, but under Lyze's capable and patient watch, all of us were confident in its eventuality of completion.
However, at the hands of a barbarian rabble, this vision has been cast into doubt. The unruly, undisciplined mob of the Persians raided the stores of this peaceful nation, looting it of all its valuables, with no warning, no provocation. The cowardly foe didn't even have the honor to wait until a Zendarian logged on, preferring to steal hard earned wealth like flea-bitten cutpurses. No explanation was made, no excuse provided. The Persians knew their guilt and could not deny it. Infuriated by the theft of their hard work, the workers and builders of the Duchy of Zendar took up arms and brought the fight to the Persians. And yet, through some arcane witchcraft, though their manpower was below annexation level, the Zendarians could not claim their land and retake their wealth. Frustrated and cheated out of vengeance and compensation, Zendar reluctantly accepted peace, though their treasures are still in Persian hands.
On behalf of Foreman Lyze, the staff of the Mountain Blade Report would request any sympathetic to the Zendarian's plight and their artistic vision to donate materials, so this vision may be completed for all Serveria to admire.
