B-17 'Nine O Nine' crashed in Connecticut today. They're saying seven people died, and the plane looks like a complete loss from what I've seen. My dad and I took a ride in that plane a few years ago.

At least it's a B-17; "Only," 46 left, with 10 flying.
True. If it was a Lancaster or one of the B-29s, that would be even more of a catastrophe. I think B-17s are magnificent airplanes, though. And I thought Nine O Nine was a great example of that. Which isn't to say I'm not sorry about the people, either; it's a shame all around.

Sitting at JFK right now, flight in two hours. The last four months in the US as an exchange student have been amazing, mostly thanks to the people around me (Salisbury MD is a ****hole). I did not expect to get this close to some people (one in particular) and would do another semester here in a heartbeat. Have been feeling pretty empty ever since saying goodbye to people and have pretty much zero excitement to go home.

Oh well, at least the closest friend actually lives in Europe...

... in the country that I would be considered a fan of, actually :iamamoron:
