I would love to see Italin Mercenaries, which might I add were used in alot of battles by the French. Make them a France unit, hard to get and expensive but good.

Instead of just being part of the french tree, the italian mercenaries can be part of a whole new tree, divided into Polearms, Crossbows, and Cavalry.

To balance it out, maybe the English can use Flemish mercenaries (Flanders was the ally of England, right?)

I'd like to see a war system, where you are involved in the capture of towns/castles, rather than something like in TLD.

what could work, every now and then, each side would send off a siege party, and once it reaches the castle the battle would take place. or, better yet, you could make them count quests. sometimes you'd get one to defend a siege (you'd arrive at the town 'just as is started', and fight from outside the city walls from behind), or if you were attacking, you'd have to escort your sides army to the town then join in on the battle.

Also, if that was implemented, for lower level players, you could have a mission type where you take food supplies to your sieged city, and you have to 'break your way though the defenders', and then perhaps you could fight the siege from the walls (which would be easier for a lower level player)

"In the early years of the war, Edward III allied with the nobles of the Low Countries and the burghers of Flanders, but after two campaigns where nothing was achieved, the alliance fell apart in 1340."

This came from wiki, well I'm all for it go Flanders!

I also like Pete's idea about the castle/town captures.

Or Burgundian troops...

I'd like to see more cities. There's a vast expanse of unused land to the East, North of the alps, just sitting there. I'll bet more cites are (or at least were) planned, as I can see no real reason for such a big map otherwise.

Like said above:

1) Mercenary companies (genovese crossbowmen, flemish infantry, german knights, swiss pikemen, etc...)
2) More cities (siegeable and not)
3) greater variety of similar equipment (for example, having mroe than one design with different texture/decoration but with simialr stats, that would increase the ability for the "hero" to stand out from the crowd.
4) "Suits" (basically a "suit" would be a unique upper and lower garment + gloves + boots that are of the same type)

Cheers

i do like this point. during this time, IIRC, most army's were... pretty much uniformly dressed, with the only variations being in the finer details?

More action based quests rather then the get this kind of weapon, helmet, armor, etc,... It can get annoying looking for some rare items. I'm sure this has been said before and will be taken care of but it doesn't hurt to remind ya.

I hope so because this is a kickass mod. Little question here how big was the role of Burgundy in this war?

They where the ones who caught Joan of Arc.
