NORTH AMERICA ALL-TIME LIST

We decided to create our own list, after being inspired by SMARD points. Our list is "all-time", meaning they are based on the performance a player had throughout the whole duration of competitive Warband. When making our list, several things were taken into account in order to assess greatness. Said things were; consistency, impact, achievements, and opposition faced. One thing to keep note of however is when taking account of those factors, we based them solely off the big tournaments, such as NC, BIT, UNAC and the WPL. Of course, we're not perfect and might've forgotten about some people, or certain things so as with every list, these are subject to changes. As far as big updates go, we'll do them after a major tournament has ended. So friends, please bant away!

We're also going to be adding a new section to the rankings. Every week there will be a poll with 15 names listed on it, these names are going to people nominated for a chance to enter the North American Hall of Fame. These players will be voted on by the community for: their contribution to the community, overall skill and ability, leadership abilities, strength of character, and achievements. For now the players listed will only be those who have officially retired or no longer actively participate in the competitive scene, although this may change in the future for a few exceptions. Please take the voting seriously and keep in mind all of the voting criteria, comments are also highly ecouraged.

WARBAND HALL OF FAME



After much consideration there will be some changes to the way the induction process works for the Hall of Fame. The community vote will serve as a entry process in which the five or fewer individuals will be viewed by a committee of five players excluding myself. Each person voted in will receive one vote with the exception of the top three, who will be given two votes. The comittee will then vote on the players allowing three to enter the Hall of Fame. The new requirement to enter the voting process is 30 votes by the community, as such any player with fewer than 30 votes will be removed and put back into the player pool. Thank you for voting and taking part in this process. Those players were the following: Kitten, Peers, Scott Ray, Aporta and Braveheart.

It's supposed to be best at their peak. It is hard to grade all these people, names get forgotten and people tend to be biased. As for some of the decisions, our group based it off of a few things. For example, I know competitive used to be played with 1500 gold and cav players were pretty overpowered. It takes more skill to play cav with 1000 gold. A reminder, this was just for fun. Marnid needs to be much higher on this list tbh. At his peak he was easily top 10, I'd say top 5 in the scene at the time.

I'll just say that numbering the lists might send the wrong message. This might be a case where you would say "in no particular order," which would make the lists much more agreeable to many. The main gripe so far seems to be "player X should be higher than player Y, but they both belong on the list."

Oh, and a minor nitpick, Littleguy and I both started in nK and left it together. You may want to include that in his tags. I was pleased when I saw all of my tags included, +1.

If people are allowed on more than one list then the lists shouldn't be made shorter. Several people will appear on multiple lists even if they're smaller.

Kherven was the best infantry player I've ever played with, he deserves much higher.

I'd probably throw out Core from the cav list and put in Lucasaurus

Red, Heat, and Insane I think should be lower due to lack of real sample size(tournament wise) Heat and Insane both played more inf for tK in WPL. Red was suspended half of UNAC 5 and WPL.

Brave is overrated, he's a great open Map cav but has never been good on closed.

Wily is grossly underrated here, better than Gelden imo.

Also UNAC 3 KoA should be on here

Pierce was an absolute monster on Cav. He never stayed long enough to make a huge impact but trust me he was very good. I do think redknight is graded pretty accurately imo. He kinda fell off after UNAC 1 and kinda lost quite a bit of his skill. Dug up an old but good screenshot, shows Pierce hangin with some elite cav (pic was 2011)

Also Cheese should be in archers, not cav. Certainly good cav, but top all-time cav? Not sure about that. Cav list could definitely use some refining.

Pubstar list is a bit questionable if its in order of skill.

Still cool lists, always fun to see these type of things.

Drank too much coffee today so here it goes.

UNAC 3/4 TMW, or WPL TMW will **** on UNAC 1 TMW any day.

For the cav list put Wily higher, then cut the list at 20, way too big difference between top 5 players and bottom 5, if you were inspired by SMARD points the difference between top 5 and bottom 5 not nearly as big. The numbers for people are fine but I'd clump some of the players together as their level is pretty close (maybe groups of 4/5 etc.)

Redknight's play style got too obsolete over time and he fell off much worse then the other players in top 7, I think he deserves top 7 but not sure about his current place.

A player should only belong in one list. I understand that most good players can play inf and some archers can play cav, but at the end of the day I feel the list is more interesting like this.

Maybe because none of you played even the first tournament through to the end, and had all disappeared by the end of it.

I'm a little confused at how arbitrarily some of the players are ranked with relation to others. What puts Wily below Blade, Akmar below Blak? Why is Mok above Rhade? How did some people even get on the archer list in the first place?
