My computer is also awful. It's like a $300 HP from Walmart.
It looks better in motion. In areas where you are supposed to stop moving, the scenery looks better and there's usually some epic vista.

The screenshots are incredibly ugly because they seem kind of blurry or something. I can't stand looking at them. Probably looks a lot better in motion.

The blurriness happens because the game upscales from 600p to whatever res you're using.

Hot diggity I love that game. Ain't played it in yonks but I still wish for a modern spiritual successor. I used to love Lone Wolfing it with a De Lisle Carbine and a Fairbairn. That tends to get a tad tricky when you hit Africa though.
