Whats the point of the conspiracy quest...?

Are you supposed to fail the quest on purpose?
I dont see how i can do a long siege or stay in an army without failing the upcoming tasks this quest gives me.

You can be at war with multiple kingdoms and yet this quest wants you to do something at the other side of Calradia or you fail.

I lolled...

I just started playing sandbox instead. The story is interesting, the family members are novel, the nagging quests not so much for the reasons you stated. I think people play campaign and completely ignore the main quest. Supposedly it does not matter if you dont complete it.

Yeah it's better to just not do the dragon banner quest, even if you play on campaign for the family members. Just make a faction on your own at rank 4.

With enough rougery you get proper two handed swords in loot. Best source in the game.

It's in the game so Taleworlds can check off another box on a feature list. It's poorly written and poorly implemented but that's kind of Taleworlds m.o. As Ananda said just get your family members, make your own faction and ignore it.
