The Bannerlord we have now isn't the same product they had in 2016-2015 and prior. Anything that was showcased in 2016 is a completely different game, as far as i know.

A while ago an indie game I was following had to shut down because one of their devs left the "company" and had a lot of the artistic and/or models rights or something like that. Maybe something similar is happening here: the dev of this stuff left and they didnt get to keep their work.
Maybe its like the Halo 2 E3 demo (nothing of that ended in the final game) or its hidden just like banners are, who knows.

Thats not true. If you visit dunglanys its the same as it was in the 2016 demo to this day.

Yeah it's really sad that those things got dropped. It also is a really nice looking UI. I per fur a more old fashioned woody warband like menu UI.

If I recall, someone said at one point that this would require too much work to be worth the bother and so it was scrapped.

I think the UI has improved honestly. It looks dated and bland.
