As for the non-responsive AI - it sounds like you may be lagging/running out of memory. Have you given the gameplay version a shot? Could you share the contents of your rgl log with us? (Located in your warband folder)

There's no possible way I could be out of memory, my computer's too high end to get bogged down by Floris.

Funny, it's saying I only have 4096mb of RAM when I should have a lot more. I've been running Prophesy of Pendor and haven't had a single problem yet. As for the tactics menu, yeah I saw that sticky right after I posted haha.
 
Yep warband limits ram usage to 4GB Ram. 32bit systems limit it to 2gb ram. Steam sometimes forces compatability mode limiting it to 1 gb ram. So quite a few possibilities.

Still according to your rgl log the max amount possible is recognized. Sadly some systems can still run into problems, because warband is an old game and cant fully utilize high end systems and may sometimes even run into some sort of conflict with them. Combat stutter and orders being skipped occurs, when the engine of the game cannot handle things fast enough, which depends on system capabilities and how well the game works with a system. We might be able to further optimize things in future versions, but thats still a ways down the road. Up until then i would recommend playing around with the graphics settings and battle size settings of expanded until you find a compromise that is acceptable for you (looks vs. performance). You should also go for native AI (as our AI is performance heavier) - this can be changed in the mod options, but defaults on native AI (so if you hadnt changed things, ignore this). Alternatively it may be worth giving the gameplay version a shot - its mostly less items and a few less graphical enhancements. All gameplay enhancements are included.
 
Ok so after much searching and trying I really need your help.

I´m currently playing using the diplomacy mod, but wanting to convert my savegame into floris mod pack. However even though i copy pasted them in the floris mod it still does not show up. And ive tried any single way i have seen people do to fix it.

Does anyone know if this is even possible? It didnt have a savegame folder so i made one, but when im playing the mod and save the game, i cannot find it when i go into the file folders.

I´m using a steam version btw.

I really hope someone know what to do here if this is even possible  :cry:
 
I recently started a game as a non-noble, which is my first time since I usually just start as an impoverished noble.  However, when I finally decided to swear allegiance and become a noble for Swadia, I chose my new banner and it shows up on my character's shield in battle, but all my troops still have the red/black banner above their heads and on their shield and armor.  Is this a known bug and is it fixable?

Unfortunately it isn't as far as I know. There's too many things added in Floris that even if you got Floris to recognize the save, it'll probably come out all buggy (troops and item lists will be mismatched, as one of the most obvious bugs). You're better off starting a new game. Floris has Diplomacy in it after all.

Oh and don't feel too bad about your old save. Trust me, after a while you start to lose attachment to save games, and, at least for me, it doesn't really have a negative impact on my enjoyment of the game. In fact, if anything, it actually makes me want to play even more, because I get to try different paths each time, as no two games will be the same even if you tried. I've started from scratch after hundreds of days per save so much in Warband that my memories are starting to blend together.
 
I just bought and downloaded warband on windows 8 from taleworlds. After downloading it, I tried running it and it says: Would you like this program to make changes to your computer. I click yes and then it takes me back to my desktop and nothing happens. Please help me. I would like to know how to make this work.
 
We have not developed warband and can therefore not say much about possible compatability problems with new operating systems. I would recommend using the official forum tech support, rather than our support thread, which is aimed at problems with this particular mod.

If anyone does know about warband and windows8 problems, they are of course more than welcome to share their knowledge here.
 
My warband and floris run almost flawlessly on windows 8 probably because I installed it outside the Program Files folder, and i think the UAC thingy (like windows 7's) and the new smart screen from windows 8 will make the game failed to run..

You can reinstall it outside the program files folder (the safest), or you can try to disable the UAC and the smart screen but I don't know how..
 
I get this Rgl Error: Error on creating shaders: out of video memory! Very often after clicking something in a menu screen, it has gotten to the point were I cannot play this game at all! Even on native I get this error, WF&S and original mount and blade work perfect. Before this error I could run on the highest settings with floris no problem. I'm using Expanded on DX 9 and here are my system specs:
Intel i7 CPU Q @1.73 GHz
6 Gb of Ram
ATI mobility Radeon HD 5850

I've also tried changing the sounds.txt to gameplay and that didn't work. I also have load textures on demand ticked.

The easiest way to tell is to post a copy of your rgl_log.txt, found in your main warband folder, here within a pair of [code][/code] tags.  This is only necessary if doing the steps below does not fix your problem.  Either way please let me know if it worked for you.

My guess is that you're using either Vista or Windows 7 and running Warband or Steam in Windows XP compatibility mode.  For some reason this causes warband to only see 1 GB of RAM available.  Turn off compatibility mode (if this is the case) and it should recognize up to 4GB (assuming you have that much or more) and no longer be an issue.

If the option to stop running it in compatibility mode is greyed out then you'll likely need to hit the "change settings for all users" button to make it not be greyed out.

You can find the compatibility setting I am referring to by right clicking your application, select properties.  Then go to the "compatibility" tab and it should be within the box labeled "compatibility mode".
I took this from earlier in the thread, but it appears to apply for you as well.
 
I wasn't running mount&blade warband in compatibility mode, but I was running steam in it. I fixed that, but I still get this crash here is my rgl log again

Your system is still being bottle-necked at 1GB of RAM which just isn't going to cut it for Floris Expanded.  I would try downloading warband directly from the taleworlds site, getting your CD-key from steam and using it when asked.  Try to run warband without using steam and see if it recognizes at least 4GB.  Usually the compatibility mode is the answer for this so if you turned it off for both I'm not sure what else would be causing it.

I recently started a game as a non-noble, which is my first time since I usually just start as an impoverished noble.  However, when I finally decided to swear allegiance and become a noble for Swadia, I chose my new banner and it shows up on my character's shield in battle, but all my troops still have the red/black banner above their heads and on their shield and armor.  Is this a known bug and is it fixable?

Anybody know about this problem?
 
My warband have been crashing in world map at random, i think it's some random event that may or may not happen and the game crashes when it does. I have tried about every solution posted in the various threads about crashes and none worked.

What and how can i get info that would isolate the problem?
