Transliteration
Should anyone choose to bear one of these names in-game: -æ- can be written either -a- or -ae-, and both -ð- and -þ- can be written as -th-. E.g. Æðelréd or Æþelréd becomes Aethelred or Athelred. (Actually, Ethelred would also be understood, but would rather go back to a variant of the original name.)

Éadríc, Raegenhere, thanks!

Saxon Names
Saxons only had given names. If someone wanted to distinguish between two people with the same name they would add the person's occupation, home village or, for married women, the husband's name. For example 'Wulfstan the Smith', as opposed to 'Wulfstan of Brycgstow' or 'Aethelburg, Wulfstan's wife'. After the time of Cnut some Saxons adopted the Danish system of using their father's name with a '-son' suffix.
A pronunciation guide is provided below to help you work out how to say your name. If you don't find a name you like in the lists then have a look here for a list part names to make up your own.

As found in the poem The Battle of Maldon. Most of the men behind these names perished in this battle against a host of vikings, which took place in 991 near Maldon, Essex.

Ahh the battle of maldon! Ive been to that very spot and touched the statue of Byrhtnoþ such a heroic deed by him to allow the vikingr to cross ther river although this gave him a considerable disadvantage, a true Anglo-Saxon hero!
