Following a horrific defeat at the hands of massed Prussian Cavalry, I decided to follow the path of Carolus Rex. TO TURKEY!

Not long after acquiring by His Majesty's charge my first governorship did the enemies of France rush to pillage it. Caught off guard while training the peasants, I hastily retreat to the countryside and thankfully draw their force away from the town. A pitched battle commences. Can the plucky Dáire O Beolláin and his cobbled regiment stand against the terrifying Life Guard of General Arvid Christian Storm? Without bayonets or pikes, it seems unlikely.

All that talk about Jacobites in the Questions thread, well, suffice it to say I just had to experiment some.

(though I lost so many Jacobites in taking that castle... *sniffle* And Paris is so far away!)

The tavern in Paris. Has a Jacobite there called Lachlan...something. The amount of Jacobites that he can sell varies, I've found. Got 45 (not Fourty-twa, oh, my!) in the first batch, and after that it varied from 12-14, all depending on how many days I waited ere heading back to the tavern.

The gear, however, was acquired from Jacobite rebels roaming northern Spain and southern France. Scarce at times, but so worth it.

It was so worth it!

Yus! I'd actually never heard of her till I started following this mod's development! And seeing how well the incident with the child was implemented into this mod I just had to take a screenshot! I'm a Mrs Davies fan, hands down.

I'm glad you're all enjoying Mrs. Davies! Her story is fascinating so I had to have her in the mod. She's my favorite of all the npc's too! Woman actually served in the Nine Years War too so her service stretched back into the 1690's as well. She fought in many engagements and served as both an infantryman and in the cavalry. She was so respected by her fellows that when her sex was finally discovered she was accorded a military pension. I think she went on to travel with the army selling supplies and later ran a tavern.

Whenever I think of her I always seem to get this tune in my head. I've posted it before but it bears a repost!

Not of my highlanders, as promised, but rather one of my British regiment fighting in Spain:

I'm pretty sure there are desert-like places in spain, but not the sandy kind with big dunes.

Anway, on to my screenshots of Colonel Karlos de Barcelona, fighting for the Hapsburg Spanish (spanish twist of my name, and I'm living in Barcelona right now)

* i have this weird glitch where those little text messages and casaulty reports don't show up
