Rome Total war patch 1.3 problem

Setup has experienced an error.
please do the following:
-Close any running programs
-empty your temporary folder
-check your internet connection (internet-based Setups)

Then try to run the Setup again

If you've deleted the RTW directory an reinstalled, this can happen. I don't know the slution or where to find it, but if its the same Issue I had the fix is a doozy. It involved registry editing.

I have bought the game, I have the disc, but I had to crack it cause my DVD reader is broken. Last time I installed that same patch it worked fine.

So true, although Rome wasn't bad.

They actually have a fair bit in common really. For example, it took several patches before the AI could transport troops by sea for both games

Empire sucks! I can have the graphics on max and all, but my gripe is the amout of time it takes to end a turn. Why does it take so long, or is it because I'm using the Steam version?
