Requirements

Hello.

This prolly seems dumb and redundant, but I'm wondering if anyone could tell me rather or not my PC could handle Viking Conquest.

Reason I ask is because I kinda think that regardless of the posted requirements my laptop could run it anyway but I don't wanna waste the money if it can't.

It's a Laptop, I5 @ 2.40 GHz // 2.40 GHz. Graphics is integrated Intel HD 3000. 8GB Ram.

I only ask because I've been surprised by what this thing can pull off. I can run Warband at 60FPS and some mods push it down to ~50FPS but still playable. Fire and Sword usually runs at 50-60FPS or 60+FPS with DX7.

Anyway hope this doesn't piss too many people off, thanks if anyone can let me know. I'd like to think if I ran it in DX7 I could get playable FPS?

This is your biggest issue. That GPU is not meant for games, but to watch Youtube videos or a DVD movie. You can run old games with it, but VC is heavier than WB on graphics and you will most likely have issues even if you play on low. If you are OK with it, you could try... but you are below the requirements for the game

if you had a real GPU you would be able to play the game on medium, as the rest of your notebook is also not meant for modern games. Steam had a free weekend few days ago, did you test the game then?

Truetrue. Was hoping maybe someone had experience trying to run it on a HD 3000. It can actually play quite a few games surprisingly well.

Does the steam <2 hour playtime return thing work with DLC?

Refunds on Downloadable Content
(Steam store content usable within another game or software application, "DLC")

DLC purchased from the Steam store is refundable within fourteen days of purchase, and if the underlying title has been played for less than two hours since the DLC was purchased, so long as the DLC has not been consumed, modified or transferred. Please note that in some cases, Steam will be unable to give refunds for some third party DLC (for example, if the DLC irreversibly levels up a game character). These exceptions will be clearly marked as nonrefundable on the Store page prior to purchase.

Looks like it is, I'll just test it out myself. Thank you.
