Player character bug

I was fighting this battle against Imperials and during the battle at the very end there was only 1 enemy left. This was shown on the prebattle screen. So i decided just to autoresolve. But after doing auto-resolve for like 7 times it still said there is one enemy left. So i went into battle, rode all the way to that single enemy and guess what: i saw a COPY of myself just standing there not attacking or anything !!! lol. But real problem is that after i knocked myself unconscious, the game froze for about 30 sec and the message said that Emperor Maximilan (me) of Empire of Antares was taken prisoner by  Emperor Maximilan  . I checked my character and he was wounded as well.

Happened to me all the time. I haven't played SoD in a while, but IIRC charging and attacking the copy will eventually terminate the party (although you will lose HP, and end up wounded).
