I want to share with y'all a story concerning this screenshot:
ZSZLl.jpg
I created an Italian Character named Gioacchino de'Finni. After doing the initial quest, I went to Milan and I enlisted in the army. I wanted to start as a line infantry this time. So, I went to the military depot and I bought my uniform... but cartridges costed like 408 francs. Thus, I had a musket with no ammo, being a musketmen myself. I decided to do quests for money, so I spoke to the Milan Guild Master. He gave me a quest I really could not refuse:
I had to escort a herd of cattle from Milan down to Naples, and he would've gave me 328 francs. Knowing that every good modder fixes first and foremost the cattle behavior, I accepted it. I recruited 6 line infantry recruits in Milan, and started making my way to Naples. Everything was fine, then we reached Umbria (for those who don't know our geography, it's where the Tiber starts) and I saw a band of 8 highwaymen heading towards me and the cattle. Now, roleplaying a bit, I thought that they were there to steal the cattle, hence I bravely attacked them. The battle ended with one of my recruits being knocked unconcious (remember that), and with me finally getting a musket and ammos. I was almost in Latium, then a band of 15 Highwaymen was spotted. With only 5 able men, I engaged them to save the 82 cows I was herding. The battle was fierce and ended with the death of 2 recruits. The screenshot is about my last stand against those f*ckboys. I finally reached Naples, I sold the loot, and made my way back to Milan to get the pay. But then, at the height of Montecassino 10 Neapolitan Militiamen, who deserted the army, attacked us. I only had 3 militias there. And so the battle started. I spared my ammos as long as long as I could, and with Italic bravery (lol) I surrounded the enemy lines and shot at them meanwhile my militias valiantly held the hill. In the end, the deserters charged my troops. I bravely charged the enemy behind their back knocking them with my hunting musket, meanwhile though my miltias were fighting to the death. In the end, they were 1v1, but the deserter treacherously stabbedd him with his bayonet, hence my last soldier died. In a fit of rage, with Italic fierceness, Gioacchino de'Finni charged the deserter and killed him, and the battle was over. I finally made my way north, and I was paid. 7 Milanese went to Naples. Only 2 of them returned, one of them unfit for battle (my recruit lol).

Nice story... Its been a while since I read the role playing adventures in this MOD... kinda missing them a lot

Considering we're waiting for a patch, might as well get back to the mod again!

My characters name's Alexandre Baptiste Michel. (now that I think of it, I should've made a progress gameplay with pictures all the way from the beginning till now but oh well, I'll do it when the next patch comes out, hopefully :3 ) Little background story, all from the game, he joined the French Empire due to his lust for money and power. After the first war with Austria, he fell in love with an Austrian lady but it took a while for Alexandre to figure out how to marry girls thus it was a bit too late since her brother already got her betrothed to someone else, so he set his eyes on a new lady. Fortunately for him, there was a ball in Vienna so where he met lady Afrid. He managed to conquer her but alas, the Austrians didn't fight much so they had feasted all the time and her brother couldn't organize the wedding.

Meanwhile, France was fighting with the United Kingdom which has managed to capture the city of Orléans. Having left a small garrison, it was a perfect opportunity for a low ranking officer to get some land thus I decided to lay siege to it. Managed to capture it without many losses and was awarded it, later on, becoming the Duke of Orléans.

While after that, France was fighting the Confederation of the Rhine from which it has conquered many cities. At the same, the Conf. of the Rhine was fighting the British and the managed to capture Göttingen. Having a weak garrison, I decided to capture it on my own and managed to for it to stay in my hands and was awarded it.

After a while, I had a good run, defeating enemy lords, but my fate was about to change. The vile King of Naples, Roi Murat, declared war. As I was in northern Italy, I made haste to defend Rome, but alas, I was caught off guard by a Napoleneese lord and was captured. It was a shameful display... I managed to get up on my feet thanks to taxes from Orléans, and my wool business in Paris. Ransomed all of my followers but the war came to an end and I did not get my revenge. But I will get it, one day...

With so much campaigning, I made good friends with Marshal Jean Lannes. So well that he offered his daughter to me, and with me having already had 2 loves of my life being stolen away from me, decided to accept the offer and my oh my, she was a beauty.

Not long after the marriage, I was named Marshal of the Empire with a duty to lead campaigns. It was a good year to be a marshal considering we were only fighting the Duchy of Warsaw, but it later became more apparent I wasn't ready for the role of Marshal yet. I managed to capture Poznan (which stayed in our hands after the war), Tourn and Lublin but they were quickly taken back by the Polish.

The most famous shot from the siege of Torun. (left of me Napoléon, to the right Louis Epic, for the rest can't remember)

After only 9 days as a Marshal, I was given a letter from the Emperor that my services will be sufficient as a Marshal and I may come back to what I was doing before. I did however, get promoted by the Emperor to the position of Division General!

After a while, I was named Marshal again. In a much better position, both physically, troop wise and money wise I decided to take it up this time. We were at war with the United Kingdom, Austrians, Italians and the Confederation of the Rhine. Considering the Confederation was so close and only has 2 cities (+ a military depot) I decided to weaken them first as they are an imminent threat. It was a tough call, constantly sieging Munchen and it being recaptured, then sieging it again from the Austrian side this time and so on and so forth...

Can you tell me which mod you have used to add this female face please ?

Fun story actually, opened the game mode with the Edit on and made the face myself. If you click on your character in the skill tree menu (with edit mode on), you can see arrows above yourself, right click a couple of hundred times till you find your character (in this case, the lady) and click on her character which should automaticlly take you to the character edit screen where you can edit the character to whatever you want! Enjoy

Well, if it would be possible, I might even do a re-do the textures. Just not sure which files to extract and how to do it. By do it, I mean, do the faces basically. :3 If you have a forum site which I can look up, could be possible.

I know one way, that would be to export every female character in the game and put it into a folder so you can just replace it but that seems like a lot of work. If that is the only way, might do it as a challenge x)

With the help of a glorious community member explaining me step by step how and what to do, I was able to achieve this:

Ain't it better?

THIS. It's exactly what I had in mind.

Can you tell us how you did it please ?

The modification is far from working, that is due the male hair over clipping with the helmets and other clothing because of it not being adapted for it. The female face textures are also lacking, with my method you will only find the face you seen in the pic with slight skin color variations.
Get this, https://www.nexusmods.com/mbwarband/mods/6156
Skip to instructions when it tells you how to install on modules other than native etc.
Do what it says.
Now, I have received help of this part. It was so obvious that I missed it ;3
Download the morphis (Butchered it) editor and go through all the troops and change their skins to either male/or female. It will have skin0, skin 1 etc. Napoleon for example, has unique skin. That's what I did at least, playing it safe. Then it should work.
It is far from perfect, as it limits your options to females and some to males, but hey what's to stop ye!!

I personally recommanded to try Barf's Female Face and texture replacer included in Floris which is working and also AWOIAF and Pendor have cool faces

Alright ! Thanks you both of you !

I will take a look at all this

Excellent work!
I will use these, when they become available.
And, if Tennessee Jack (aka DOCM30) likes them, you cannot get any better praise for your efforts than that.
Incidentally, there's a guy on these Forums (TheMadSkylord) who wants to implement unique flags for his French Royalist troops.
So, if you could (pretty please?) post somewhere how you created and implemented in-game your Wurttemburg flagbearers?
(The "Adventures in Editing" thread might be a good place ...)
DARoot
[And, don't forget the Wurttemburg Light Infantry/Jaegers, who played a significant part in the 1809 Eckmuhl campaign].

Thanks, I'm quite happy with how they turned out. Making the flags is pretty simple with some photoshop know-how, simply a matter of finding the right coats of arms. This website is an excellent resource for finding flag designs:  http://www.warflag.com/napflags/html/flags.htm

I Haven't quite figured out how to implement new flag bearer troops yet, doing so involves messing with the scripts.txt which is a little out of my depth, but i'm working on it ( for now I just assigned my most useless companion as a flag bearer )
