NPCs Party size

Hi everyone,

I play Native Mount & Blade Warband.

Today, I was in campaign with my vassals against Swadia, and you can imagine my surprise when King Harlaus showed up with a party of 729! That's a hell of a lot.
So I went on the wiki and found This, I applied the formula :
The base size is 10 troops.
If he has 10 leadership that's 50 troops.
He has 1501 renown, so that's 60 troops.
He is King, so that's 100 troops.
If he is Marshall that's 20 troops.
He has 10 Castles, so that's 200 troops.
That makes, according to the wiki, a maximum of 440 troops. That's a lot but it is far from 729...

How did he manage to get such a big party?

NPC party size also depends on player level. Actual max party size is determined by multiplying number obtained above with factor x, where x = (80+player level)/80.  Moreover, NPCs can have much larger parties than as calculated above if they manage to free and recruit huge amounts of prisoners after a battle. I think party size check is not enforced for NPCs when recruiting freed prisoners of  defeated party.
