Welcome to the NA WMT Week 6 Picking Night.
It is set to start at 7:00 pm EST / Midnight GMT / 01:00 CET.
Priority when picking will be given according to these rules:

[3.]Fixtures and Picking Night - Regular Season

Picking Night:

The fixtures themselves are made by the teams during the Picking Night. This Picking Night takes place every Monday between 7pm EST and 9pm EST. Each team is allotted a time-slot of five minutes to pick their opponents. Priority during the Picking Night is first given to the: Teams with the least amount of matches won. In case multiple teams have same amount of wins, then the team with the most points in the Ranking Table will have picking priority. In case multiple teams have same amount of wins and points, then picking order for teams involved will be randomized. For the first Picking Night, picking order will be randomized. In case of team failing to pick opponent during the allotted time-slot they won't be punished. If that happens their opponent will be randomly selected. You can not pick the opponent you have played against in previous WMT Week.

Team representatives should use the following template when posting their "picks".

After the pick has been made, next team(in the picking order) should(before posting their selection) wait for admin to approve previous pick.
To make it easier for Captains our admin team will, in the post that confirms previous pick, also include list of the remaining teams that you are still able to pick.

That's not in the picking rules, it only says least matches won. We have higher points than rW and they were given preference last week per Zaffa's hilarious pm.

Currently you are punishing tk for not losing their (first) match vs CRB and rewarding RW for losing to GK.

Sorry editing the rules on pick night is not good enough. You have already given rW advantage one week on pick night - two weeks in a row is not acceptable.

It was accepted by majority of Team Captains and Admin team.

This is a proposal for the NA WMT tournament only.

Because of the current situation with the tournament (only 6 teams, initial week 1 team selection, Crb being well above the other teams skill wise, and a rule that give tie breaker priority to team with most points scored), a situation has emerged whereby RW will effectively play Crb every other week. Short of RW beating CRB and good fortunate with the other matches, the top 4 of the tournament is effectively locked in at Crb, tk, dof Na, and GK (in no order).

To counteract the scenario where everyone has the same match ups every other week, I have proposed a new set of rules that do not alter any of those already in place.



Proposal:

As the tournament is currently structured, in the event of a tied match w/l ratio between teams, tie breaker priority of opponent selection is awarded to the team with the highest number of rounds won. While this may work for a tournament with more teams, the effect it has had on the NA WMT is to help reward people with easy matches up front and penalize those with harder matches. To amend this, I propose that consideration be given to how previous ties were resolved.

Basically, if two teams were tied before and one team was given priority, the other team will be given priority next time a tie occurs. Should a tie occur whereby neither team has had more historic picks over their opponent, priority will be rewarded based upon the original system of most rounds won.

The first chart shows how many times each team has been given priority over another team in tie breaker situations. The second chart shows the net number of picks between the two teams.



Example of how this will play out

Say that Tk, Dof NA, and RW find themselves tied again. RW will get tie priority over Tk (net of 1) and Dof NA (net of 1) as both teams have historically been given priority over RW.
