Sparti's two kings are Spartiate_Leonidas and Sparitate_Kleomenes. Our actions will always be in the best of interest of the city.
Sparti's ancient ancestors have fallen off; It is now 220 B.C. and Sparti is no longer the Greek super power it once was. However, with reform, Sparti will rise in this era. We will uphold our ancient unwritten laws to our best ability. We are Spartiates. We are equals.
To join, join our in-game faction - Sparti! We welcome all who will uphold the Spartans ancient laws.
Sparti's Class System
There are three classes: Spartiate, Perioeci, and Helot. Upon joining Sparti, by default, you will categorized into 2 of the 3 Spartiate classes - Perioeci or Helot. Your Mount&Blade class will determine which of the 2 classes you will be. If your class is Serf - you are a Helot by default. If your class is not a serf - you are a Perioeci by default. If you would like to be the Spartiate class - you must speak with a Spartiate King. The two kings at the moment are Spartiate_Leonidas and Spartiate_Kleomenes. After joining the ranks of the Spartiates, you must add the surname "Spartiate" to your name.
Spartiates (Full citizen of Sparti)
M&B Classes: Footman and Lord
Requirements: Must wear a red cloak and have a Spartan shield equipped at all times, have a Spartiate King's approval, and a "Spartiate" surname. Ex. "Leonidas" would be "Spartiate_Leonidas."
Pros: You're a Spartan.
Cons: You are limited to only being the Footman class.
Role:
Spartiate is the highest class in Sparti. Spartiates are humble, wise, and skilled in the art of war.
Perioeci (Freemen that inhabit Sparti)
M&B Classes: Peasant, Herdsman, Healer, Doctor, Craftsman, Engineer, Master Smith, Militia, Footman, and Archer
Requirements: None.
Pros: You are free to be any class you'd like.
Cons: You're not a Spartan.
Role:
Helots (Serfs of Sparti)
M&B Classes: Serf
Requirements: None. To be assigned a Spartiate, you'd have to speak with a Spartiate King.
Pros: You may be assigned a Spartiate - who will protect you, however you must follow his orders. Their orders cannot be unmoral or unfair.
Cons: You're not a Spartan.
Role:
Despite Helots being at the low end of the class system, they received better treatment than their peers in Greece.
A Spartiate Serf, Helot, is treated much better than that of another state.
Rules:
Most of Sparti's laws were verbal; unwritten laws. It is the King's job to uphold these laws to their best ability. Many of the rules have not been written yet, they will be written in the future.
