I am a noob

OK so this is my first time on this forum and this is the first time that I wanted to mod any game. So I just actually want to know the bare minimum I need to start like if i need to use software like VSC to code the mod or if i need stuff like blender to animate or if I need to learn a coding language.
I want to make a mod like the GOT mod but for a different TV show so basically an entire overhaul mod. And then do it again in bannerlord.
Any help would be appreciated.

First, be aware that Warband and Bannerlord are totally different in regards to modding.

For Bannerlord I would wait until the mod support is implemented better.
