How does one rank up?

seems stupid that the more you post the more you rank, they should have something that checks your achievements and playtime and than ranks you up

a) That's not how it works, and it hasn't been that way for a long, long time.
b) Your suggestion would be worse. A whole lot worse.
c) Current system is fine.
