How do you activate your CD key?

I bought and downloaded the DLC just now, and can't for the life of me figure out where to enter the CD key. When I launch the game I dont get any prompts to enter it, and I cant seem to find anything on the website or in the destination folder.

Am I missing something obvious? I can launch the mod, but It wont let me start a new game and crashes before it loads.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I should also mention that I bought the game through tale worlds, and not steam.

What version is your Warband? Should be at least 1.165 if you are using VC 1.02

is your Warband also from Taleworlds? Do you use Steam (you can include the DLC as a external game there)?

HK_current_users -> software -> Mountandbladewarbandkeys

There should be a string named: serial_key_vc with your CD key behind it.
If not, right click on open space.
> New
> String Value
> Rename the String value to serial_key_vc
> write your CD key at the data part (example CD-key: XXXX-YYYY-ZZZZ-4444 )

start up the game and see if it works
