SP - Economy Fief management

I think that owning a prosperious Castle(and its villages) with a good governor should make a great income, enough to field atleast 2-3 nice parties
However, owning 5 castles should be very challenging. Having a bad governor or non at all should be extremly bad for the income and cause unrest both among the citizens and among other clans, jellously plotting our undoing(or at least to see it in other hands than yours). So unless you have a good or even great idle governor, you should not have more fiefs. A toplevel steward should make worders! And be very rare!

This applies to AI clans as well, ofc! They probably need a few additional members and an ability to recruit governor-companions. However seeing a lord or ruler with 3 cities and 5 castles should not be a thing. More vassal clans should be recruited intstead

There should be intrigues, if a clan missmanages their fiefs, other clans should gossip about it, trashtalk the owning clan(damaging reknown growth) and untimately convince the ruler to revoke it and give it some other clan.

This should lead to clans considering prosperity- focus/fief management/Stewardship, defence, clanmembers, politics and intrigue besides offensive warfare!
