QUALIFIER STAGE - FORMAT AND RULESET
Due to the ruleset being posted late and still being uncompleted, decision has been taken that the qualifier stage stage, innitialy planned to start the 11th of April and finishing the 1st of May, will be shortened of one week, and will consequently start the 18th of April and finish the 1st of May. Consequently, only teams in the qualifier stage are affected. Schedules for the Group Stage and the Knockout Stage remain the same.
The admin team will use this time to discuss a few important points raised by the community, and make sure that the best format is used for this ECS. Thanks for your understanding.

Tournament Rules Changes
Below are a number of notable changes to the tournament rules and format. The Rules Thread will be altered before the Tournament starts to reflect these changes, should any teams have questions about the format before then please get in touch with one of the admins.
The Tournament will begin with a single-elimination group qualifying stage, with the qualifying teams entering a group stage and a final knockout stage.
The Tournament will follow the same match format as Nations Cup 2016 with the following exceptions:
The map pool will changed to include:
All qualifying teams will play from a pool of the above two entries and the existing map pool. Captains will be surveyed and allowed to vote on a selection of maps to be included post-qualifier stage, with two of those maps being added to the pool.
All accredited streamers may stream and match they wish, giving viewers the freedom to choose between any streaming channel they wish. This may result in more than one streaming channel covering the same match.
The admins reserve the right to determine the punishment for any breaches of the rules and are not to be bound by predetermined punishments.
The Tournament will begin on Tuesday 19th of April with the first pick night. The deadline for week one games will be Sunday 24th of April.
PS. We are still looking for willing referees, please contact the admin team if you are interested.

- Round time to be set at 180 seconds
- Substitutions may take place at the end of each round
- A serverside modification to some faction stats and proficiencies will be implemented similar to Azan's Proposals

Starting the tournament during the week appears to have been too ambitious to achieve. We have thus decided to move the deadline of the qualifiers stage week 1 to 1st of May, 2016. The deadline for organizing the match will be moved to the 28th of April, 2016.
We will not accept any server bookings, until the 28th of April, 2016. Please reschedule your match, if you had booked it before this date. This is so we can sort out any issues that might occur, while transitioning to the ECS3 server mod.
We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
We have decided to change the map-picking system of the qualifier stage and the group stage to randomized fixtures. The fixtures for week 1 will remain unchanged.

European Challengers League
It is a pleasure to announce that during this ECS, the European Challengers League will receive a new iteration. The administrators for the tournament will be Surkan, OurGloriousLeader, Gorlock and Anchor. The tournament will start in the week of 23-29th of May. The sign-up thread will be opened as soon as possible.
