HOW TO DODGE

1. You can easily get away from the danger of missiles hiting you if you are on horseback and have a ranged weapon yourself, BUT, in this case, we shall presume you are on foot with a sword of war [SoW is a 2h weapon, thus, we shall presume that you DO NOT have a shield with you. Just think, if you had a shield, why dodge?]

2. A crucial feature of the dodging is having good AGILITY AND ATHLETICS. You can be able to dodge admirably even with 30 AGI + 8 ATH, but the higher the better.

3. You enter a battle against some sea raiders. You begin, CUT & SLASH your way through the infantry [I don't remember them having mounted troops] and are now alone against the archers.

A. HOW TO DODGE AGAINST ONE ARCHER/CROSSBOWMAN/JAVELINEER etc.

1. As soon as he prepares to fire, move to the side while still having him in your center view [I'm talking about using A or D to side walk].

2. While you are moving, just before he fires, stop going to that side and go to the other side. The AI of a good ranged troop if he sees you going in on side direction, will fire a bit after so that the arrow would hit you should you continue to go in that direction. By stopping the movement and going in to the other direction JUST AS HE FIRES you can safely dodge it.

3. Another possibility to dodge against ONE enemy is to stay still while he readies and aims. Then, BEFORE he shoots, move to one of the sides. The arrows will safely fly past you while you remain unharmed.

4. However, a respectable archer/crossbowman etc. carries with him AT LEAST 50 missiles. Dodging them all would take WAAAY to long, so, we shall apply the "Dodge and Go" technique.

B. THE DODGE AND GO TECHNIQUE

1. Useful for both ONE opponent or more, the D&G technique will work like this:

NOTE: I shall elaborate first for crossbowmen, as they take longer to recharge than normal ranged troops.

a) Wait for him to aim and dodge sideways or run sideways and dodge by stopping and going in the other direction [see part A].

b) WHILE HE RELOADS, run in a straight as possible line towards him.

c) If you have reached him, he will automatically change weapons to a melee and so you can kill him easily.

d) If you have NOT reached him yet, prepare yourself for another dodge. After this dodge, again, start running towards him. Keep doing this until you reach your opponent and you can eliminate him.

2. In case you battle archers/javelineers etc. follow these steps:

a) Prepare yourself to dodge. After your first dodge, run from side to side while you are advancing. DO NOT RUN for more than MAX. 3 SECONDS. And 3 seconds is for a case when you have mastered dodging and have high athletics [around 10] and very high agility [around 50-55]. If you are still learning, run for 2 seconds [about 1-2 metres].

b) Again, get ready to dodge and then again run towards him. It does take a lot, but it is very exciting to this when you have only, let's say 3-5 HP left .

3. On a final note, dodging against javelineers/jaridmen/throwing axes etc. you don't have to run at all. Seeing as though a ranged troop can have a MAX. of 16 javelins/jarids etc., you can easily dodge all of them in a short period of time and then go to him while he takes out his sword and shield.

C. HOW TO DODGE AGAINST MULTIPLE OPPONENTS

1. Again, since this will take a lot of elaboration, I shall start against multiple crossbowmen:

a) PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVERYONES MOVES! Do not let any opponent slip your sight. While they ready to fire you can sit still and dodge sideways, but this is much more dangerous around 3-4 opponents.

b) Another option is to run sideways [see part A] and then let go of the keyboard, and JUMP + RUN in the opposite direction [NOTE: All must be done in a total of 8 seconds!].

c) Again, while they are recharging, run in front BUT DO NOT run too close to them if you can't make them to switch weapons.

2. Now for the multiple archers:

a) This is the hardest of them all. While against ONE opponent, sitting still and sidewalking helped [see part A], this time it will be almost useless. In stead, try to not be scared of the following values .

b) IMMEDIATELY while they are taking aim, run sideways. STOP! JUMP & RUN in the other direction and run in front. Now you have to run to the side opposite of the first dodge. Again, STOP, JUMP, RUN. Keep doing this while you advance towards them BUT take great care and be ready for speed cause each SIDERUN, STOP, JUMP, FRONTRUN cycle must not last for more than 10 seconds MAX.

3. Javelin/jarid/axe time:

a) These won't be too hard unless there are more than 3 at once. If there are up to 3 enemies, just Dodge&Go as you want until you reach them.

b) If there are more than 3, you will have to start JUMPING too.

D. HOW TO DODGE AGAINST MULTIPLE RANDOM OPPONENTS [I.E. ARCHER+CROSSBOWMAN]

1. This is the last chapter. Here we learn how to dodge against multiple diverse enemies. Don't sweat! It's really easy!

a) Since there are more than 3 opponents, try to get on of them to be in front of the others [This is a KEY FEATURE!]! Great! Now, only one opponent can attack! Quickly dispose of him while continuing to go towards the others.

b) A good advice is to take down the ARCHERS FIRST, then the CROSSBOWMEN SECOND and then, finally, the javelineers/jaridmen etc.

d) If there are more than 10 opponents against you, you'll need at least 60 AGI + 10 ATH! Get ready for a SIDE, JUMP, FRONT dodge. In this case it would be best to get on or more opponents in front of the others. Keep repeating the cycle until you dispatch of the front troops, this way you'll be close enough to the others to make them change weapons.

That is ALL! Hope it helps you, because it definately helped me!
