SP Native Diplomacy 4.litdum (v1.7 has been released - 28.02.2023)

Couple things I noticed:

1) Vaegir archers seem to have forgotten how to adjust for range (meanwhile, Nord bowmen have become snipers). I don't know what would be causing this, but I've been playing as a Vaegir soldier in Boyar Vlan's army and we get roasted any time we face Nords...mostly due to the majority of our archers getting picked off at range by Nord bowmen.

2) The animations, especially the running animations, I find to be a bit ridiculous...as well as certain 2h weapon animations (swinging a dane axe like a longsword?!? nah). I'm assuming I just replace the animations file with the one from native?

Other than that I really like this mod. It's got the three most important features a mod can have - Diplo, PBOD, and Freelancer, and adds some additional items and stuff without going overboard (looking at you Floris). Battlefields are nice and the cleaned up UI I really like.

This looks very much like my personal mod compilation I have been using locally. I always intended to release the so called "Vidmaster's Mod Pack' to the public, but then the texture & graphics overhaul I based it on, called "Grand Enhancement Mod" by TheDoctorOfGallifrey, got flag for basically putting in tons of content from others without permission. And while I got permission from the guy releasing that overhaul beforehand, I felt it to be inappropriate to release my Mod publically.

As I understand it, your goal is to slightly expand on native (as well as adding the usual features that should have been there, especially diplomacy). I recommend to keeping it at the level you currently have feature-wise and focus on the bug-fixing, as "declared" in your original post. The goal of a pack like this would be to "perfect" Native, not bloat it.

As mentioned, I am unable to release my mod pack of similar intention as I lack the time of starting so search for all the textures and replace them. I can however, point you into a direction that will help improve your work. I strongly recommend tacking a look at:

- the brilliant Arena Overhaul Mod from http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1760 by Adorno
- the "Training Fields" Mods by lucky lancer, see here: http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=2358
- the "Combined Face Replacer" by Mizkif (http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=3105) which basically just saved me the trouble
  of combining the
  * "Improved male faces" by Iboltax : http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=2764
  * "Female face model and textures replacer" by Barf and Broken_one: http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1955
- various little coding tweaks, which obviously can be performed on script-level too:
  * tommylaw's "Choose your side in battle" : http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,46290.msg1530222.html#msg1530222
  * TheMageLord's "Herding cattle" tweak : http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,45900.0.html
  * TheMageLord's "Faster Cattle" tweak: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,46290.msg1217127.html#msg1217127
  * tommylaw's tournament renown tweak : http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,46290.msg1334319.html#msg1334319
  * TheMageLord's WindMill tweak: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,46290.msg1217668.html#msg1217668
- "Warband Entrenched" by Tempered available at http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=2049, which might be more tricky to polish and integrate but works really well theme-wise.

Looking forward to a well-tested, polished and final version of "Diplomacy 4.litdum". Random side remark, as a fellow modder, I am glad that the vanity of naming one's personal Mod Compilation after yourself  :oops: is a common practice.

EDIT: remember,  :roll: stability and consistency of theme are always the most important aspects of any non-joke mod :smile:

So I tried replacing the actions.txt file with the one from Native. Yeah...not a great idea. Reverted and tried the ones from Floris Gameplay and Silverstag...everything works except patrons in taverns being seated (same for lords during feasts).

I'm no modder by any stretch of the term, obviously. What do I need to do to get to the native running/walking/standing/combat animations? Honestly the animations included are kind of immersion/game-breaking for me.

I downloaded it and extracted it. But before it could finish, it says the files are corrupted??? Mostly from Sound files when I inspected it.

Okay finished downloading and played for about 10 minutes. I don't have any sounds except from the music and sword slashing. There's no sounds when running with the horse, can't even hear the sounds looters make after I killed them. There's just a ton of sound files missing. Maybe its only me experiencing this?

Try to redownload and make clean installation.The mod work fine and is the best so far(my opinion).The main bugs are from original diplomacy mod.The original diplomacy have a very good conception,but very bad coding.
I'm a bit curious.The author of this mod keep silent from long time ago. Whether he intends to continue developing this mod or that's all he can offer???

Rare glitch: After winning tournament, back in the castle of Curaw (my town) one of the choices in the dialogue with my Lady Wife (and member of my warband) is:

My UNRECOGNIZED TOKEN, I would like to dedicate my successes in this recent tournament to you.

Compare my actions.txt with the native one which you replaced. the last six ones at the bottom were the feast/tavern animations. Also dont forget to fix the number at the top of the file after.

The dialog codes look fine so i dont know why that UNRECOGNIZED TOKEN exist. It was the same in Native as well, as far as i remember.

Hey Litdum, could you please expand or modify the troop trees? I'm currently playing as Rhodoks and is extremely difficult for us to win a battle against the swadians  :roll:

Добавить бы форпосты и капитаоав наёмников цены не было бы .Какие планы

Nice mod m8, I just have a few suggestions/bugs:

  • Diplomacy's autosell sometimes sells food i autobuy, and doesn't sell other unneeded items. (I tested this only in one save)
  • Those nice lady in tavern has so huge boobs that they are pixelized :grin: (I don't know if this is your mod or you just merged it)
  • I personally dislike new walking/idle animations, and also prefer native attack animations (to keep my blocking reflexes in MP). Your download has a file that removes just new attacks and blocks, I would LOVE to have a file that removes both new walking/idle and attack/block animations.
  • Keep things awesome  :cool:

Also the new sound effects are awesome, the first time I killed forest bandit with my sword from the horseback gave me chills. :grin: Kudos to author!

There's a bug when you marry someone and take her in your party, you can give her equipment but some of the items will just disappear. She'll always wear her dress and if you give her a new body armor it will disappear. You can even make her strip repeatedly and she'll just create new dresses instantly which you can sell for infinite money. If you give her multiple shields they'll disappear too.

Hey there, just wanted to shout out the great work on the mod. I've been loving everything so far with little or no issues.
One thing I was curious about is if it's possible to add a feature where you can have custom troops or troop trees for your own kingdom. Maybe as an option to select with your constable in designing the troops and then in the domestic policy setting whether you want the vassals of your kingdom to solely recruit the new units, have a mix or not to bother at all.
This is just a suggestion as although I've played the game loads I have absolutely no idea when it comes to the actual nitty gritty of modding it....

Is it updated with the latest diplomacy 1.172patch?
It has a lot of fixes added to it and seems to be updated last on 9/26/2017.

Anyone knows all the file names for "get hit" and "dying" female sounds? Some of them are named in an obvious way like dying.wav, but others are not descriptive.
