You have to grab the item from the shop. Once you buy it, it loses the coins around the name.

You can also pick up what you want to buy first, then talk to the trader. It will show up differently in the trade menu, and you won't have to look for it either.

But yeah, same general situation if you sell stuff for coins, they appear on a nearby table for you to go pick up.

The challenges in the wiki seem very interesting to try...

I especially like the utopia idea, but mostly looking for quick start and end types.

Ingredients:
Captured goblins
The tree friends
All my pets (100+)
A few plump helmet men

Preparation:
Make giant frying pan (a layer of magma makes adjacent water boil)
Dump in ingredients at a single tile
Wait till it all melts
