field battle

like the title said, what is the intended use of cavalry? in terms of situations, formations and commands? how many to have in terms of % of your army? if you know please tell me the answer and your source, if not you are welcome to post any speculations you might have here. also i'm interested...

We all complain about not being able to choose your field of battle which works in the favour of your army composition, or battle field scenes being completely different from what is on the map... For this to be solved, either Auto-generated scenes need to come back, or there should be enough...

I miss being able to fight beside my companions during sieges and huge field battles; working side-by-side we often turned the tide of battle. I would think it would be an easy thing to change; add one more category of troops in the drop down list (Companions, personal bodyguard, whatever)...
