The Last Days of the Third Age
got today an update at the steam workshop.

Changelog:

Trolls

Increased troll speed
Increased knockdown cooldown
Fixed some sounds
Made troll pushback slightly random
Improved troll pushback, fixed a few bugs;
Hardcoded troll recruitment for town garrisons...

It seems the big bad got buffed

Woah! This is... This changes everything! Thank you @John_M. I can now conceptualize on my own troop trees from my bed now. Also thank you @Eärendil the Mariner for recommending this. Also is this going to be the first real "community official" LOTR's mod? When get my gaming rig upgraded and get Bannerlord I'm totally going to patch this into the game.

@Gnostic_Monk Well there is already other LotR projects in the work. I don't think there will be an official LotR mod, people will make other mods with different visions.

I hope the crossbow uruk is just a concept art because it's not very accurate to the lore and I'd hope they stay close to the cannon material for better immersion.

wow they worked hard! Maybe I should reinstall the mod. Last time I played it, it was done though? Is this still for the original M&B?

@Eärendil the Mariner I don't know, I don't even have the computer I had back then. I think I last played in late 2013 / early 2014. IIRC the modifications it required to the base game made it impossible to play the Rus mod, which also changed a bit of the game as well.

@Zombie Warrior , it is getting regulary updated, the work on it all the time. The Nightly Builds are kind of actual test version which - if stable - gets then pushed to the steam workshop all few week/months.

Hello, I am new to the modding scene and would like to learn/help. I have knowledge of Java programming. If you need an assistant just send me a message.

If you're looking into modding Warband or original M&B, you'll need to learn python and the module system. So I suggest you start looking up python tutorials and experiment a bit with the language. Once you've mastered the essentials, try learning the module system, there are excellent tutorials on the forums, and make test mods to see how things work. Practice a lot, then when you see that people are recruiting...

...Directly send them a private message instead of throwing this message into the wild where it most likely will not be heard. Also, some people work only with experienced coders, so sometimes you may need to prove your worth so to speak. Keep your best python projects and show them when asked to. They don't need to be excellent and conform to college/university level machine theory, they just need to work.

BTW...

...You may want to learn C# and XML if you plan to mod bannerlord in the future. It won't be too hard for you since C# is very similar to java and a tiny bit easier to learn.
