I have tried the official server, it was empty, and I managed to select my class and spawn, however, as soon as the wave started, the game crashed.

Does anyone has the same issue? Maybe my settings? Here they are:

Does the log says anything interesting? I see many warnings inside it, however other modules work perfectly: I played online at Napoleonic Wars and had a great battle with Viking Conquest.
 
By the way...

We usually use these threads to report problems, so not to bloat them... Rarely someone writes the due praises of others' work.
In my case, I cannot hold myself from telling about the performance comparison between the default engine and the one from Warband Script Enhancer 2.

My specs are:

MSI NVidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti Reference (overclocked at plus 170 MHz for the core and plus 150 MHz for the memory);
Intel Core i7 4790K (water cooled and overclocked at 4,69 GHz);
Corsair Vengeance Pro Series DDR3 (overclocked at 1690 MHz);
Samsung SSD 860 Pro (writing at 530 MB/s and reading at 560 MB/s);
ASUS Motherboard Z97 Pro Gamer.

I consider "Viking Conquest" to be the most heavy module, so I made my comparison with it.
I played a custom battle with 74 Saxons + player vs 75 Norse (for a total of 150 men) on the "Welsh Fort" map.
Graphic settings were set on max, with 10 corpses and 1 ragdoll, and bloodstains nearby the player only.
Sound variation was disabled for vanilla while sound occlusion was enabled for Warband Script Enhancer 2.

With the default game engine I got:

FPS output between 40 and 50;
GPU core used at 100% (bottleneck).

With Warband Script Enhancer 2:

FPS output at stable 60 (v-sync);
GPU core used at 42% at max.

Without making a serious comparison, I can state that on the "EU_Commander" server of Napoleonic Wars I was used to an FPS output of about 40 with a GPU core usage of 100%, while with Warband Script Enhancer 2 I got 60 FPS with a GPU core usage of 37% at max.
I also enjoy Captain Coop mode in With Fire and Sword, however with many enemies on the field the FPS output dropped to a value of about 50 with a GPU core usage of 100%, while with Warband Script Enhancer 2 I got 60 FPS with with a GPU core usage of 32% at max.

So, infinite thanks for this miracle.

P.S.
I expanded my FoV to 90°, so the things loaded while playing with the Warband Script Enhancer were more.
 
I don't know if I'm too bold at asking this, but this engine is so miraculous that I'd love to see it used along with some heavy modules that wouldn't otherwise run smoothly.

I'm talking about two mods: the popular The Last Days Of The Third Age Of Middle Earth, which is open source (module system available at GitHub) and the good old Sands Of Faith, one of the best conceived mods set in the crusades (module system available at Nexus under the name of "Miscellaneous").
The first is open source, the latter is too, as module system is available to download, but I expressly asked its kind author if I could have tried to polish it, receiving a positive answer and I opened a thread here: Taleworlds Forums (even if my low modding capabilities proved to be too scarce so far for such a task).

With Python 2.7 and the base knowledge on how to compile files from the module system to working assets, would it be a feasible operation or would it require a more experienced person and other utilities? I've read the FAQ in the thread header, but I fear I didn't catch exactly what it means concerning the implementation of Warband Script Enhancer shaders into modules.

Thanks in advance for any help, and sorry if I may be over-enthusiast, but this Warband Script Enhancer 2 is simply Manna from Heaven, pure gold, catnip or whatever!
 
I can run any mod for Warband with WSE2 without any adjustment?
Unfortunately no. For a part of modules it is enough to set module specific settings in module_config_template.ini. But WSE2 uses its own rendering and shader brf format, so if mod uses its own shaders, then author of mod should edit and recompile fx and package resource_shaders to brf. Check WSESDK for more info.

For most mods (that do not require shader recompilation) it does work though. For TLD and SoF you do not have to do anything with ModSys at all because shaders are a different thing. Check out WSE SDK and these tutorials to accomodate TLD to WSE2 (SoF shaders are not included in its source code directory, so you will not be able to port that mod to WSE2):

Maybe with the information within them I'll be able to better understand what there's inside the WSE SDK folder! Also thank you K700 for your kind availability in writing more detailed instructions: they would allow more users to easily convert their favorite modules!

As a side note, I tried a battle in Viking Conquest with 750 agents (although I think they were more, maybe the battle size isn't so precise for that module). Graphic settings were on max, with 5 ragdolls and 15 corpses, having sound occlusion deactivated. I got, at worst and only during the main clash, 48 FPS. Warband Script Enhancer 2 is insanely good! I mean, truly insanely! A battle size of more than 750 was unthinkable before (don't know what they drunk at Brytenwalda studios when they set it but I remember they admitted to have made a small mistake), and with max settings was just delirium, but now it seems feasible, and it looks so good! Mount and Blade Total War:cool:

The easiest option is to ask thewanderingknight for all files of SoF. If that sounds too vague, you will have to ask for shader files. As far as I know they (in some part) were taken from CWE OSP, but it is best to ask for those of SoF.

You are welcome. K700 does a lot for us, modders and players, though.
 
While awaiting for detailed instructions from K700 and a response from thewanderingknight, I made some more tests with the new engine. Full Invasion Osiris worked perfectly, as I played hours until the "devs wave" without a single issue.
I have to report, however, that Viking Conquest has a critical bug in singleplayer, a crash to desktop whenever entering a Lord's Hall.

It happens with most of the halls, not everyone (there are only a few scenes for Viking Conquest's Lord's Halls, shared across the cities).
An example of working hall is Dunwic, an example of bugged one is Temair.
Also, it happens on all of my saved games. Here it is my main one: sg00.sav

By the way, when I get to the main menu, I see a red error message, it says:

I hope this can help in finding the issue.
 
Whenever I start the game with WSE, I can't save the display settings. When I open the display settings interface, even if the settings are not changed, but click close, it will crash without any prompt. Saving settings on the game launcher does the same. Why is this so?

It is not a fault of WSE2 but of your module. Make a dummy script like that in module_scripts.py if you possess your module's source code: ("game_missile_dives_into_water", []),.
