MP Everything wrong with kicking

Actually kicking is not a thing in HEMA or real world. Remove it all together.

In HEMA maybe kicking isn't used, but in Buhurt it is a strong move, Kick doesn't grant you in real life a stun on opponent or deal damage ( faster it will hurt you than your opponent) but if you kick while running from flank/behind the kick is a 80-100% of knocking down enemy, like a bump from horse in BL , if you don't believe just watch few of Battle of Nations clips, PLWR clips, or any other tournaments of buhurt.

HEMA- specialises in technique fighting, buhurt in more brutal fighting with armors and weapons used in medieval with improvise ways to knock down an enemy, even if kicking or shield "punching" isn't notified in sources or books from medieval era, it doesn't mean that no one ever used it during a battle in past times.

Btw. Front kicks are useless in that stuff, but low-kicks to the hips/knee area can make you lose your center of gravity and make you easier to fall down, that's a real thing, just remember that HEMA isn't the only thing IRL to represents the contact fights in medieval style.

next you will be telling me about how spinning around is used in ... movies and some eastern martial arts, cmon, this doesn't happen IRL, none would risk loosing footing, balancing on one leg and kicking into unstable substance. Kicking is not needed in the game, shield bash is fine.

Kicking is kind of like quick scoping in CoD or b hopping in CS:GO. It’s such a part of our community and our game they have to keep it in and make it strong because of what it added to the game in a unique way.

Yeah games kinda made kicking the way to stop face hug shields blocking in all sword and board games.

I told about kicks, turning around is ridiculous, if you never seen buhurt you should first check what exists and what not. Losing a control during a kick means that you don't know how to make a proper front-kick,low-kick,high-kick. No matter if in armor which weights 30-50kg or without.

also that, game balance should always come before accuracy anyways. Name one game that has entirely accurate combat that’s a melee game that is actually good combat wise

kicks are useless in bannerlord,
in warband they were very useful and require real skill to know when to use them.

i was playing captain mod, and we all died except of 1 guy
he was alone facing +20 soldiers
he decided to go to a corner, press z and block
he managed to spend 2 minuets at least hanging in there, there was no way to kill him
kicks and bashing didn't work

learn 2 kick

edit: theres a short window after landing your kick that will speed up your attack, you need a decently fast weapon aswell.

the only complaint i got about kicking is that you cant kick uphill

it's not a learning thing like u said
there is a delay after the kick, so they are useless in duels

Inappropriate behavior

So did you go and cap the flag?

In any case just asking your soldier to back off so you can kill him works as well instead of having them mob him.

1-weren't my soldiers
2-morale was waaaaay off to reach full stars "the point is not how to win btw" just to explain what u r missing
3-he can't be killed because he was crouching at the corner and his shield massive hit points made him survive 2 to 3 minuets blocking

Hold then kick, it gives you a very fast attack following the kick. Just make sure to release at the right time and not hold too long.
i tried this, didn't make a difference
not effective unless the blocker is not blocking
i'm going to dual server "EUDuel" practicing with other people, doesn't work

The problem is the shield and the magic force field effect. Wouldn't be a problem if shields were physical objects in game that worked constantly in the position they were no matter if you right click or not but also only protecting the actual area they covered. Solution would then be two guys going at him, one stabbing to his head, the other stabbing at his feet. The force field unfortunately makes the shield cover everything.
