Annoying Smoke

The Musket Smoke is annoying. It Lags my Computer to Hell, Ive got all my Graphics on the Lowest Possible. My Performance is 161% and the smoke just lags and lags and lags and lags until its unbearable and I cant play.

This Mod is awesome BTW
 
I DL'd Medium quality cause the Low Quality takes me to The Repository but when i click download it 404's
 
The Thin Smoke thing makes my Game crash and the Medium Quality Version still has a large amount of lag
 
Okay Ive tried it and set the Smoke to 1 Second but it still crashes :/ Im not running any graphics mods
 
Hello , have you changed how many particles there are ? By default there are 400 if I'm not wrong . This is my setting , and the mod runs better :

the smoke is awesome, but it does indeed lag a lot. even with the slowdonw, a melee fight in the middle of a massive cloud of gunsmoke still causes me slowdown. its also really friggin awesome though!
