Knight at Arms
self-explanatory subject title

Why?

Note: I've fixed this myself, so if anyone wants the copy of Item_Kinds1 I've made it, but be aware that it's for Daimyo Edition

As far as I am aware nodachi and katana techniques include stabs for way too many reasons, they wouldn't be the best move, never the less, there was taper at the tip for that purpose on both. So your "excuse" doesn't make any sense.

game-play explanation on the other hand makes sense and I can dig that.

Note: I am a brown belt judo and purple belt jiu-jitsu fighter, I am very aware as how japanese martial arts work, and we've had the opportunity to learn a bit of Kendo from a sensei ages ago...

We know it was common to wire-wrap the lower bit of the nodachi's blade, to create a ricasso. This suggests half-swording, and personally I have edited these swords to use the spear animation in the thrust.
