OMG this thread is great. I will probably read some more stories.

A friend and I will often watch medieval movies when we're together because they're awesome.

Gladiator: Right off the bat, there's a big battle. At some point, the barbarian leader dude gets his head chopped off. Since he is their leader, he must be a lord, so we joke "King Ragnar was knocked unconscious.".

Troy: Achilles throws a javelin super far and kills one of Hector's horsemen. Perfect aim, just like Nord huscarls. Everybody gets knocked unconscious because they have names.

Just applying the mount and blade rules to people in the movies makes all the combat so silly lol
