Perhaps some really outdated units, like the traditional samurai you get in Fall of the Samurai, so you can get some bulletproof units, that are weakened by a lack of ranged weapons.

Yes! Samurais, "chinese" troops from the Taiping revolt and some "korean" mounted archers!
You guys can ask the "Gekojuro" mod developers for the samurai armor and the "Blood and Iron" mod developers for the Boxer rebels!

We have both fictional Chinese and Japanese inspired nations in mind, but if you have any suggestions or interesting ideas we can use for mercs or militia please go ahead and post.

As for soldiers that a bullet proof, no, That is just silly.

Not completely bulletproof, just not one or two hit kills at long ranges was the idea I envisioned. Bit like the Curaiseers in the Napoleonic Wars.

@ Aleviq, nope. This has nothing to do with Xenoargh's mod, as is stated in the disclaimer on the front page.

@ Hazzardevil, Well we do have Cuirassiers and marines which are *a lot* tougher than most units since they're designed to get stuck in the thick of melee combat, but they can still be brought down with a musket shot just like everyone else.

Let me state this here now since we addressed this on the Mod DB: This module is a work of fiction based on a fantasy universe following a previous early 19th century module. We may use real world influences as inspiration but they are not fact.

Any image resource suggested outside the 1850-1870 will simply be rejected. We have other modules and general mods that cover certain eras now.

But sir, those were the uniforms that the turks used during the victorian era, it says 1908, but that doesn't mean they dind't use those uniforms in early eras, however, those units are basically already done, since i saw them in MOD DB , as i requested  to Frenzied_Crocoduck_ to change their uniforms (they were beige and very "XX century" and not very victorian) now they are rightly done (Sarranids) but Lannswig, Castillo and Alvion needs a few more units from colonies and actual european armies.

However! you guys can add some "slavic" mercenaries for the sarranids would definitely be awesome! (and Kessicks!)

I imagined Slavic peoples would fit better with the Vaegirs thematically, the Sarranids getting Middle East, Jewish, Ottoman and Egyptian style units.
