We are going to overhaul all the factions equally, we are just doing the nazis first. But I should probably put something that says we don't agree at all with the third reich and don't support their actions in any way.

To avoid be accused of nazi propaganda, I think that, instead of using the Swadian as a whole faction of dimension-travelling nazis (seriously, they have the banners, the uniforms, the guns... ), you should mix them more with elements from Weimar Republic, World War I, the Bundeswehr, etc.

But then they would still be dimension traveling Germans. Walrus and I were talking about this and we decided we are going to change the rhodok and swadia art to make them unique nazis but artistically influenced by the third reich and mussolinis socialist workers party.

Like I've said, we don't exactly have legions of artists at our disposal to make them extremely unique.

I think that keeping them sorta "dimension traveling" is more original than most mods that try to mix native with real life events, considering most try to incorporate the native faction in so much that you can't even really tell what they're aiming for besides "more modern Swadians/Rhodoks/ect." so I think you should keep all the Nazi stuff, barely any mods where you get to play around with Nazis in the first place and you already have a pretty good amount of native faction incorporation in my opinion.

Yes, you seem to be the only one who gets what we are going for. Despite my username, I hate censorship and we have no plans whatsoever to remove any swastikas or nazi stuff.

I think it's a bit ridiculous that it is so controversial, that anyone is getting offended over it, people are assuming that by including Nazis you are automatically supporting them and glorifying them, fascism was just very big at the time, it's part of history, plus you've not including anything concerning genocide that I've noticed yet (except maybe the Shariz scene), so people really shouldn't be freaking out. A few swastikas aren't harming anyone, the only reason things like bad words and 'negative symbols' offend anyone in the first place is because they allow it to offend them.

It is only controversial if you make light of the industrial mass murdering of 12 million people as video game filler.

Plus I think you can do Nazi-esqe evil without even needing to bring up or emulate the real life horror of the holocaust at all. If you want to have your fictional factions commit acts of evil make them up don't mirror horrible real world events which still has some living survivors. It is really something that should be treated with respect and caution.

If the player servers a faction that's not fascist or servers none and manage to save people from concentration camps then he gains honour. But if he servers a fascist faction, then exploring the minority should give what? Renown? No, I think it would be better to increase relations with the fascist lords a bit.

1984, you mean.  . But in all seriousness, there will be no specific events that will mirror the real world in that regard. The only things that you will see are some mimicries of leaders, firearms, and items in good taste. For example, in the next update there will be a Swazi broom handle pistol called a "Swuger" instead of a Luger. As far as real world equivalents that's probably as much as you'll see.

What real world weapon equivalents would the confederates have? like BARs and Thompson esque guns with some Springfields or Garands? or are they gonna get some post WW2 gun like the Veagirs like a M14? I also know this is a historical fiction as this is closer to the time of WW1 but are you going for more of a WW2 or 1 feel with the combat in the future?
