I am haveing lots of probles has well.

I suspect there is a formating flaw in the templat since the troop editer keeps telling scripit is out of range next try I think I will try copying the nonting in side of the troop file

That sucks, well now I have another problem.

My troops get items that I did not assign them. I get all these OSP armors and some other stuff but not the stuff I put in the list on the Troop editor. I'll get a picture later.

Usually the weapns and shield is right, I chose those but the armor is messed up. What the hell is going on?

I had the same problem, probably when editing the troops file you put them in the wrong order, then lots of troops get funny upgrades. Copy pasting the troops into a new text file, getting them in the right order first time will probably fix it. Your almost there!

Oh I have them, I just posted the wrong one, I put them all in between where the Nothing and Nothin were and I still get the weird items for my jarls, it's only my jarls though.

Fixed them in my post.

Never mind, i just simply changed the already existing troops (i.e. Rhodoks, Swadians)
I renamed them, deleted some and made a new troop tree for the 5 factions.
it works fine and i dont have to hassle with custom anymore

Thanks fisheye. Wicked said that (s)he wanted to merge some extra content to the mod after version 1.0, and your Customized Troops is one of those, but maybe with this post of yours, it may happen faster, who knows?

Uhm.. i've got some nice army(made off the custom tree that wicked got in the mod now

And changed some units in the tree to my liking
Now i've made a hoplite..
Tho i've given him a pike and a heavy board shield. now the problem is when the enemys rush trough the pikes(sad that they can't make a good pike formations.. like the phalanx ) they only got the pikes and in close combat thats hard to win,
Now my question is, is it possible to have the Hoplite always carry a pike, a Board Shield + a knife for close combat?

I don't think so, it's basically up to chance. Unless there's a way to script it without using troop editor.

i've tried it with the troop editor but the problem is there its sometimes a dagger or a pike.. actualy it was 6/7 units had a dagger
and i hope theres a way to improve the pike bcause they begin to stab them when they are closer then the weapons reaches..

they sometimes put an item twice in the item lists, that might make it much more likely for them to have that particular weapon
