That's strange, I've never had to actually fight the villagers. Even if I only had three men, nothing would happen, I would simply continue to collect taxes.

What? That happens to me at least 2 out of 3 times when I collect taxes, even if I have 100+ men... but it was the first one I had in a town I think... and we now know that it wont work for Venezia/Venice... at least on some occasions, maybe not always...

It does say that the bayonets deliver cutting damage, I think, however I too hear a blunt sounding "thunk" when bayonets are in use.
 
You'd think the bayonets should be using pierce instead of cut. Are you sure you're not standing too close to the person you're trying to stab? Most weapons in Warband fail if you don't have the space to "accelerate" your attack before hitting and you get a thud. You have to account for the animation and place your enemy at the furthest extent of the lunge - it took me a little to get used to it.

Good point, however from my experience, it doesn't seem to be a matter of distance. When testing in custom battles, a normal thrust at full length when I tried resulted in a blunt and incapacitating thunk.
 
Hi, I keep getting spammed with "Kingdom failed to response" on the latest steam workshop release, this thread might have a fix for this http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=160487.0

It looks like every provocation come from Holland. I get this popup every two days, and one popup for every faction, this is kinda (really) annoying  :razz:

Edit : found some scotch-taped user-side "fix" that makes the more buggy for one second instead of spamming you :

1) open your menus.txt
2) look for the displayed message (like Kingdom Fails to...) and add a "_" between words like this: Kingdom_Fails_to_Respond

3) Include a auto-close command to the menu. After the word "none" you will increase the number plus 1. Above we have a 10, so becomes a 11
4) In the end of the line you have a "0 1". Change that to "0 2040 0 1". This is the auto close command.

I've sneaked in Inveraray to free an officer. I found the constable who guards the jails and killed him to get the keys, but I can't find the door to the jail anywhere, help?

The door you are looking for is far from the guard, it's on the same side where you can find the dude dressed in white.
 
Playing the Alpha 1.3 version finally from the Steam Workshop. Bayoneted muskets seem to do blunt damage now on the thrust attack. Shouldn't a musket with bayonet do pierce damage instead on thrust attack?

EDIT: I just looted a Hunting Musquet (with no bayonet) and it has the same stats, with blunt damage.
Other muskets found like the Guard Pattern musket do 40 cutting on thrust attack.

Also I am now encountering a RLG error: Out of video memory

Have you went over the level of 64? For some reason things get messed up (like mass amounts of bandits) once you progress over the rank of 64 using cheat.

Hey, I just downloaded the mod, it looks really good, but when it opens there is no text in the menu, I'm playing on a mac
