While it's refreshing to see a mod that's well though through and have a leader with something other than the most basic knowledge of both english and actually modding the game, I can't help but feel that this particular time period has been done so many times before.

Maybe set it in 800-900 instead?

I realise this is like the worst, most provocative post ever in a mod thread, but there's already so many projects focusing on this time period.

I'm sure you're right (about it being done so many times), but there are a few few reasons for that. First, the general medieval period is what M&B is pretty much made up of. It's like all of these 1800s m&b games: great effort, but it's a bit weird raising your own army in the 19th century when everything was professional. It gets even more weird when you're fighting something like the American Civil War, you take over a castle (weird in itself), and then you're like, "please Mr. president, can I be lord of this castle and collect it's revenues?" m&b is just made for a specific time period, and I haven't found a pre or post medieval mod that actually worked really well.

Of medieval time periods, this specific one is probably so common because most of the stories we have came out of it, but I'm with you - I'd like to see a game that has a Saxon England with (some) independent Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Norwegian territories in GB. Now that I think of it, a mod set up just before Hastings would be great, I'd love to partake in that and see the Saxons win.

I just downloaded this mod and played it for almost an entire day and i must say i am very impressed, i like how more options become available too you as the better of a lord you become. Keep up the good word and i'll be sure to pass on some positive remarks
