I've done sea battles with my own troops, and haven't had this problem, but the sea battles as a lord's recruit seemed messed up, as I mentioned above.

But you do have troops that start out surrounded at least in the 4 ship scene

For Beta5patch4

You can still get troops from the tavern keeper/ barkeep, but you can only do this once per week now
took out go to alley cheat

I just discovered a couple of things about the wagon train.  I was playing the game, and I had gotten out ahead of my train.  I couldn't find it anywhere, and when I checked my projected Weekly Budget Report, there was no line for my wages for the train.  So I knew the train had been attacked and destroyed.  I saved the game under a different name, and I went back to a game save which turned out to be right when my train was being attacked.  I rushed to rescue it from the bandits, but the Wagon Master was killed.  When I clicked on the wagon train to interact, the top listed character was a Lion Knight, and I got a screen like I was speaking to an Order of the Lion party, with the options of: "Surrender or die", or "Never mind, I'll leave you in peace".  I was unable to access my wagon train from either option.  I assume this happened because the Wagon Master was gone.

I went back to my saved game from when I had first discovered the train was gone (which was after the attack) and tried to make another Wagon Train from the Camp Menu, but I was not given the option to build a wagon.  Is this how it is supposed to work?  Is the wagon train a "one-shot only" deal?

Give you a new toy and look how you treat it
might be because it is a party not a party template

took 115 parties off the map
removed trade agreements
changed resting speed from 5 to 3
I think the sea battle scene is fixed(4 ship)
I changed how the trigger works for diplomacy recalculate AI
got all the towns paths clear of trees
flying carpet costs more, takes riding skill 7, and has less armor points now
spider has less armor points
eagle requires riding 6 now

I found that, at the Explorers Guild, you can study both Camping and Wandering.  The concentration is only for that attempt,

Re-testing Settlement options. No problems so far.  Will allow settlement to develop and continue testing.

Recruited all specialists successfully, including more than one of a kind.

Foraging skill doesn't seem to work near settlement; I can successfully forage if I get far enough away.

Able to use Land Expanders to get an additional Constructible Land.

Built a Food Garden, School, Granary, Barracks

Got a question to Settelment.
I build one near the fertaile area between Parven and Uxhal. The first turned into a bandit lair. no Problem, though i was to long gone.
The 2nd did the same while i was just going to a near by town. The 3rd try and for now last ended kind of the same. I build it, got a miner and lumberjack,
waited in the Settelment for a few days till i got enough wood and stone to build the farm. I gave the order for the farm, left to check the fertile area across the river and just when i left the village it turned into a bandit lair again. Is this a bug or do i just miss something about it?

For Beta5patch5
changed a bunch of troop numbers in party templates
changed the heirlooms that are available
changed the buying/selling prices for houses

My first settlement did the same thing, turned into a bandit lair.  I found that the first specialist I hired should be a Food Gatherer, even before I built a Food Garden.  They apparently can gather food from the surrounding countryside, at least enough to get you along until you can build a Food Garden.  I now have a Settlement that is 75 days  old.

Built a Training Grounds in settlement.

Foraging now is working near settlement.

Got a strange unrest #:

Got 1 error message while testing settlement; here is a screenshot with Debug info:

Able to transfer settlers into my party, but could not transfer them back into settlement.  Received message:" You do not have any settlers in your party", even though my party screen showed 1 settler.

I'm unsure what the buildings accomplish in the settlement; even after they are built, no further options become available.  I thought maybe I'd get stored knowledge points after building a school, but none appeared (the total stayed at "0").

I am now at 56 days into the game testing the settlement, and having no problems with game crashing.

Go Trader Lor!  Sounds like slave trading is the most lucrative part of your business; Thanks for the wagon train!

I just visited 4 towns, and all swords I found were visible when readied, and did not touch the ground  when not ready.  Most were on the back.

It's Trader Joe, yes I think so, even though my trade routes earn between 1000 and 3000 everyday
The 5 trade routes cost me 68,000 to setup

you can enlist patrols at the fort now
downtown option no longer shows up at castles
balanced more of the armor

built a fort here and sent out patrols to try and keep the forest bandits away from suno and my trade routes

Hey got a question regarding wagon train. I made one from camp menu for 3k told him to accompany me and when i were in a city he were chased away by bandits and never came back. Now i cant seem to find him and i cant buy a new one in camp menu? Is it possible to get a new one somehow? Also when in town and if you are doing a lot of different things such as going to guild and the tavern. after a while you cant leave. So you basically have to go to tavern "save and exit" and restart the save.

Sounds like the bandits took out your wagon train at this point if that happens the wagon train is gone for good and you can't build another might change this later
I can't duplicate your town error, did you do things at the guilds or craftshops?

made the ship cheaper

I, too, used to be unable to leave town by selecting the "Leave" option after visiting the guild, but with the new patch I just left town using the "Leave" option after receiving training and a lesson at the Explorer's guild, so I too am unable to reproduce this error.  What did you do in town before you ran into this problem?

Are you using Beta 5 with patch 4?

Changed some costs and profits for businesses
took out a trigger in the new travel stuff
took out non aggression pacts
changed how the diplomacy trigger works

The diplomacy stuff is what was causing most of the lag

Maybe only i have the problem, but neither if i start with the wse or regular i can only hire once from the bartender, even after 4 weeks i can´t hire new staff there. Is it suposed to be that way or just a bug?
