i keep getting this rgl error when i start the game up it has happened a few times now,i have re-downloaded twice also

well that worked and i actually got into the game,but just before it loads the encounter with the first bandit i got a runtime error and it stopped working  :evil: :evil: so annoying

edit: ok, so loading the backup save worked. I still got the weird bank screen, but this time "back to menu" button made me exit town.
It also doesn't happen anymore, so it was probably just save file issues.

the only problem is that the runtime error comes up before the loding is complete, and the game craches.
so i dont get the RGL errors anymore, because the runtime error comes first  :???:
 
it looks like the runtime error is caused by the itemkinds1. :shock:

i copied the itemkinds from Native and pasted it in floris, then the loding was accomplished, but not suprisingly it crashed when i tryed to start a new game :neutral:

Well, yes, because the game was trying to create troops that are equipped with items that no longer existed after you changed the file...

And as for itemkinds1 "causing" the error, the error is still due to memory issues with the large number of textures...and items...present in the mod. If you go through the steps in the FAQ Crash section, there are a number of settings you can change--be sure you follow the link posted there and make the adjustments to your Windows settings as these have the biggest effect in helping your system run this complex mod.
 
I'm having a strange issue and i can't find anything about it. Whenever I start a battle, it says that i will gain 0 renown for winning, and when i win, sure enough i don't get any renown. I tested both on small bandit parties (-3 battle advantage) and against big armies (many lords, obviously i did not win but it said 0 at the start of the fight)

Am i missing something or is this a bug? It was working fine for a while, i got to 250ish with battles and tournies and didn't do anything special that i can think of and might have cause it.

I don't use other mods with this pack, and i started a new save with imported character.

Edit : I use the expanded pack v2.4

Edit 2 : About the renown scaling, i noticed i got 19 from the last tourny i won, so it might have a little effect, but i had 0 planned renown in a 1v600 battle.

Edit 3 : Also, i dont know if this is intended, but i don't always get the item page after battles.

edit 4 : Started a new game (tried only 1 fight) and renown seemed to be working normally. I guess there's something wrong with my save file =(
 
Minor exploit:
It seems that regardless of what you choose in character creation, if you go to the Camp menu and select "Modify your noble banner", you can auto-promote yourself to nobility and get your flag immediately.

Not sure if this is intended or not.  I consider it an exploit because it defeats the purpose of choosing "impoverished noble" at char gen as opposed to builds that may be a bit stronger at game-start. 

Perhaps this option can be removed until the character earns a banner, OR it could be used to set a default banner for when a player finally earns one?

This issue is now occurring with me, as well.  It's fairly game-breaking, considering if you don't have a backup save ready, you might as well start over.

I am using the Extended version, with a fresh new game.  Got in to about day 7, and took a "escort caravan" quest from Sargoth.  I get a few seconds out from the town and then get hit with the broken bank overview screen, which won't allow me to leave.  Given the timing, it looks like the game may have been trying to send me to a budget review instead (everyone loves getting paid!). 

Updated:  I noticed that the Bank review report is ALSO broken if you try to enter it from the Reports screen.

Both of these are as designed. The first as an additional ease-of-use feature, the second is part of the extended vassal titles system where the titles also indicate prestige of the individual.

My crash problems are due to the savegame file - everything works fine when I start a new character (although I've not done much other than manage to lose battles and get captured).  I have not experienced the "bank" problem described above.

The crashes I did have because of the savegame non-compatibility where not screen freeze.  They were straight to the desktop with the win7 message about the failure of the warband exe.

Could you publish a dictionary of terms like "Kynaz-confero" and the other titles I see so we can know what they mean?

On a different note, the Hotfix A works fine.  However, it is interesting to note that the RGL Video Memory Error is intermittent for me.  In repeated testing I had two occasions where I had no problem at all loading the mod and playing.  But one out of four load attempts isn't worth my time so that is why I tried the Hotfix.

Dropping back to 2.3 to finish my current game.

Will look at the code for the bank of Calradia...this was taken from Lazeras' additions and perhaps there is some coding mishap therein.

EDIT: It would appear that the debts variable for the bank in a town is the same as the variable that tracks whether you've set a fire in a town's nearby villages (for prison escapes). So that might be messing with some things.

The presentation code is a bit of a mess, so I'd believe it if sometimes the "exit" button worked and sometimes it didn't. Rewriting it now.

4. Save. Restart the game. The botton, Escape, and Backspace should now get you out of the Bank screen.
 
First time poster, big fan of the floris mod pack.

The "back to menu" buttons don't work in many of the "Reports" or "Camp" menus. It doesn't cause a crash, I'm just stuck staring at the page.

Under Reports: "View Bank Report", "View Companions Overview"

Currently installed are the Expanded Mod pack and separately the "More Metal Sounds" mod.

wicked job though, keep up the updates


*Edit 1: I first thought none of the "back to menu" buttons worked, but I'm looking through them now, updating the list as I go along.
*Edit 2: Just two menu buttons in Reports don't work, Camp is fine.
 
Hello. I can't download either of the hotfixes mentioned in the first post, as the site where they are hosted won't let me (it thinks that I am already downloading something, I don't know why). Are they hosted anywhere else?
 
No offense intended, but do you have people test the mod before release? Some of these bugs shouldn't be present if someone tested it. I volunteer for testing 2.5 :smile:
 
Hey, i downloaded the patch to go from 2.3 to 2.4 and now i have a little problem. I played for an hour or so without any problem and then, after coming out of a battle, the song which was playing when i left the world map had froze and it created a looping sound which is fixed to the sound of footsteps made by bandits, other parties and myself. When in any kind of menu (village, city, camp, inventory,etc) and when i'm not moving on the world map the sound isn't there. I can also clearly hear the sound several times when other parties are moving near me. All the other sounds are still there but they're covered by that looping sound. I tried playing native and everything is fine. Same goes for 2.3, but as soon as install 2.4 the sound is back. I tried to play with music disabled just in case but no luck :sad: Any ideas what might be the problem?
