Update, version 6
- Made gear a little lighter to increase running speed
- Replaced sound for player being hit
version 6.1
- Replaced gunshot sound with Septa's version that is not as loud. Thank you Septa, hope you don't mind.

Update, version 5
- Rebalanced weapon stats
- Recolored the weapons, added about 4 new colored meshes
- Swapped some spawn points to more appropriate places
- Added new targeting reticule
- Added 4 new ammo boxes, will spawn with appropriate amounts of ammo for every weapon

Update,version 4 (thanks to Markus Antonius)
- Made the fights five vs six, the player's team always has five total.
- Added ramps to sniper towers
- More small adjustments to arena scene

Update, version 3 (start new game)
- Replaced one pistol with a sniper rifle
- Small adjustments to the arena scene
- Added sniper towers and spawn points to them
- Increased HP of AI fighters (start new game to get this)
- Increaed athletics of AI fighters and made armor a lot heavier (start new game to get this)
- Added thrust attack to knife, removed overhead swing
- Added guns and firearm skills to all Vaegir and Swadian units

Update, version 2
- Redone the arena to have more interesting placement of objects and spawn points. Much more fun now.
- Moved Zendar spawn closer to arena master.
- Added two new sounds, gunshot and player hit.

- 4 pistols
- 2 shotguns
- 2 sub-machineguns
- 2 bulletproof vests
- 1 helmet

Big thanks to luigi for his musket model and helmet.

Moloh gave me the idea of a Vaegir vs Swadian counter-strike type fight and I put together this small arena mod to see how close to real guns M&B could get.


 
I also added a nice looking muzzle flash :grin:

Wanted to replace the gunshot sound, but for some reason M&B would not play any CS sounds, does anyone know why?

The vanilla pistol is *.wav, I tried to replace it with a *.wav, it didnt work. Converted the replacement *.wav to a *.ogg and edited the sounds.txt to have the ogg extension, but it still didnt work. A modern gunshot shound would make it whole lot better.

I had a problem with some OGGs I made not working in M&B, but converting them to MP3 worked for me. Try that.

By the way, would you consider letting us use some of your guns in the Age of Ash mod? We could certainly use them, and you would of course get full credit.
 
It would be kind of fun to make an awp...  :lol: But I don't know if it is possible when you press Shift to get a scope view  :neutral:

Yeah, of course you can use the guns and the muzzle flash if you want. I'm glad something useful came from this :grin: I'll also probably use the muzzle flash in another mod, so that was a good exercise making it.

I just realised I was balancing it with player damage set to 1/4, and I kept wondering why AI did such low damage to me and kept increasing their firearms skill :grin: But I tried it with full damage and I think its better.

I don't know if its possible to copy existing gun models from another game Stormficker.
 
Don't think it needs the CS gun models. You stop looking at them after the first few tries anyways. A new gunshot sound would be great though, I'll see if I can make it work.
If you haven't found yet, all the guns are in the Zendar chest, so you could even take them out for a spin against river pirates :grin:

Janus, the shotgun/MP5 model is actually luigi's musket.

By the way, when editing a scene, is it possible to move the objects after they have been placed?
