This is discouraging. It was actually a nice glitch since this is a feature many players want in the game.
I hope that there will eventually be a thoughtful way of implementing this into an actual mechanic rather than just sending your main off into the mountains or dying to pass your clan on. Like really, why not at least allow us to keep them in the party, or as governors? It just doesn't make sense. If you don't have the time/resources to implement an interesting way to turn this into a feature I understand - but then why spend time/resources on taking away a happy accident?
