All suggestions/tweeks/wishes

OK, it passed long time since I said I will read every single thread and reply on the forum so we can clean it and start fresh.
I had read and copy/pasted on my notepad all 'till page 3 (I was going from old to new threads) and being that lucky, my system crashed loosing all that I have gathered. So last night I had 2 hours free and I started reading again and doing th job of cataloging everything of importance. I still have 19 pages left and will probably do it around end of the month.

NOTICE: I excluded all repeated posts, all this we already have in game, all things that are fixed, etc.
I also included things like bridges (trust me there are at least 50 suggestion for them), moral, etc. Here is the current list, and I hope we can manage to implement some and talk about them on how it would work.

-Custom Commander: Add the ability to make a companion go into battle instead of you.
-Change factions colors, many factions have same color.
-Maybe make crossbows a little bit stronger
-Establish different style of tournaments
-An event where the Golden Horde appear also. Spawn a few Dozen mongol armies.
-Towns and villages generate hardly any cash, lords are ransomed for quite frankly a pittance (a lord worth LESS than a piece of chain mail armour?!).  (Subitai made a tweek on his post about it.)
-The ability to train men in castles, to be able to set what equipment units have.
-Adding uniqe music to game areas
-New Scenes
-Could you (team) add snow at some latitude?
-A diplomacy enhancement would be great.
-I have my own kingdom, and when I give my lords a city or a castle they don't receive any towns. So all the towns still belong to me. (Subitai said it was fixed long ago)
-Do you think this can be in the mod in the future? I'd like it if there was missions in-game to get Lords to defect to your faction. I know I've done this quest in native and other such things.
Also: I had an idea. What if, when your faction is defeated, your lords WILL disperse and join other factions. But when you re-make your kingdom, you should have the option to recall the lords of your old realm, and if they like you enough, for them to join you.
Or have speech that's depending on relation to the lord, your persuasion level, and how many lords you have, to talk faction lords over to your realm. This would still have to be balanced out though. (Maybe make it so that you can no longer recruit lords? That, or put a limit on how many lords you can recruit through the Chancellor.)
-Some indication as to where you can ride your mount across water would be helpful… bridges for rivers, and some terrain differentiation to mark the location of oversea crossings. As for the river crossings, if you wanted to make their locations more obvious you could have roads leading into them from either side.
-A suitable scene for tournaments (a big open space surrounded by tents, more like a hypodrome than like an arena)
-Horse races... the Hyppodrome in Constantinople was a little bit deteriorated at that time, but it still was a place of popular meeting, political speech and social evasion. I think that they still celebrated chariot and horse races there.
-More varied people in towns, i never seen any damn kids around? not important, but it adds to realism
-Just for scenery, just random villages around, they don't have to be significant, no names just a village small one along the way
-As far as quests go i wish there was long drawn out quests, rpg ish type quests, where u do one thing accomplish another then at the end,u get a rare sword of sorts, and one quest i definitely want for a mod like this, with your band of companions,i want to search for artifacts , Ark of the covenant, and the HOLY GRAIL, plus it gives an ultimate goal besides conquering and conquering, like a personal goal
-1) Loot the dead of their coin. (Gain random amount of gold based on number of enemies killed and their level; Lose honour)
2) Bury the dead. (Gain honour; Chance of losing morale)
3) Finish off the wounded. (Gain dread; Chance of gaining morale; Chance of losing honour)
4) Let them flee. (Chance of gaining honour; Lose morale)
-Moneylenders. Either on taberns or in the city streets, you can speak with him in order to get money. It would work like a bank, and you would have to pay back more than you were lent. If you don't give it back you would have a bounty on your head, and the chance to meet bandits on villages and cities would rise. This is great not just for the money and so, but for the addition of jews to the medieval world.
-Special item vendors. You can find them either on taberns or in city streets, though they wouldn't be easy to find. They could sell you special weaponry: double crossbows, chu ko nu (chinese crossbows), pata gautlets, tridents, nija stars, plate armours, asian armours, katanas, nafatun jars...
-Merchant route to far Orient. Special merchant patrolls with perhaps more/better guards, but with a lot of valuable goods.
-Special mercenary companies. Recruitable in taberns, like normal mercs, but not normal swordmen and mercenary cavalry, but longbow archers, nordic axemen...
- University students. You can find them of taberns. They can teach you several arts, like leadership. You get several options like 'Could you tech me architecture'. In that case you would spend day and night and spend 1000 denars, in return you get a + 1 to you Engineer.
New items:
- Unknown Testament (Gnostic Gospels or Apocryph Gospels)
- Catholic Bible
- Orthodox Bible
- Coran
- Pagan Idol
- Cathar Cross
- City recruitment. You get a new option in the city menu, 'Recruit citizens'. It works exactly like the 'Recruit villagers' at the villages, just that it's in the city and could give even more troops. (NikeBG said it's in game)
- Pilgrimage quests: The idea is to escort a group of pilgrims to a town of religious importance (in 1200AD there were plenty of towns with important relics in their possession). In return you could get some money from the pilgrims, but you also have the option to don't take the money and instead gain some honour. Escorting pilgrims was afterall a chivalric deed. At the same time one could rob groups of pilgrim (small groups of poorer pilgrims might yield immediatly) and not every pilgrim was poor afterall. Especially when people of the higher classes went on pilgrimage, they took some valuables with them to donate/gift to churches possesing relics of important saints. These wealthier pilgrims could be guarded and the greater the guard, the greater the loot would be.
- Tribute, War, Peace, Various Reports, Change Tax level.
- Make it able to Entrench Your Camp. will take some hours.
- Make it Able to Build Outposts, Outposts should be able to take over.
- Maybe Dogs for war?
- Revolts: Some times large groups (like 100 of them or more) of rebel villagers appear on the land. When they reach any noble of any faction they enter combat. If they reach you they ask you: ?Are you with us or against us? The answer leads to either the battlefield or the campaign map (leaving). If you reach a battle of lord VS revolt villager you can choose which side to fight with, leading to the end of the rebels or the war agains the lord's faction.
- Iron mining/ salt mining/Instead of making an extra mining icon on the M&B map, it could be integrated into the town upgrades (or castle or village) which was next to the historically origin location. Imaginable we have our administration in town/castle/village for our mining in landscape.Effect: increase income (maybe extra taxation and license from king)
- Banking  -Boost your town economy, money flows faster. The bankers have to pay you high dues. You maybe have to get right from King for right of interests in your town if it is already not forbidden.
- Adding stuff like the Guelph/Ghibelline quarrel
- Stamina: Not very fun, and would be a big pain to code in, but it would help make for more realistic travel time, and have more opportunities for things to happen if you had to set down and camp every night, lest your troops start grumbling about the slave driver leader, or fight ineffectively. Is there a way to make the wait mode faster? That would be useful if you facilitated this.
- Creating Ambush points: I`m not fully aware of the game's engine limitations, but I`m throwing it as an idea anyway. Certain passes could be positions where a party could wait for an enemy party to come close and choose whether to launch an attack from a better position (new scene) or keep waiting. During this, the party would be invisible to its enemies, of course. An option for the player and the NPC parties.
- Maybe there should be some difference in the nobility. I mean, nobles have ranks too. Some are higher than others. Maybe the player, when becoming a vassal, would get the lowest rank of nobility and then could rise to higher nobility?
- Local items. From a long time to now I've been thinking it is quite weird to be able to find longbows in Turkey, while you go to the British isles and may not find a single one in the shops. Is it possible to increase some objects' appearance in each city? Like... longbows in London, tempered swords in Toledo... and so on?
- Mixed armies have a penalty on morale, while homogenous armies have an overhaul. It would be small, but great if the heterogenity ior the homogenity are extreme.
- I would like to collect all your money in your capital, leaving all of it there, locked in your vaults. Then, you decide how much of it you take, to avoid bandits to steal a lot from you. Also, you would fight a lot more for avoiding the enemy take your castle. Also, that could trigger some missions about corruption from the local bailiffs.
- Land trade routes: Towns/castles/fiefs near trade routes earns more income.
- Have You ever played a medieval cRPG called Darklands(relased about 1992 by Microprose, it`s abandonware now)? It`s(or was) the quite realistic mediaval game(there`s even a medieval measure of time) and has some great features that You could implement in EUROPE 1200.For example when You`re try to enter the(hostile) town You could: Try to hide in the crowd,or try to talk the guards/bribe to let You in;fight them and hide in the alleys;try to get in by sewer tunells(if You strong enough to get rid of the bars), or try to climb the walls(at night) and throw the rope to Your companions(if You`re agile enough). When You`re at siege You can try to climb the walls and set a fire in castle(at night) or try tochllenge the lord to a duel.  It`s just an examples
- you buy a young horse and train it to become a great horse, or if you got allot of cash you buy a already trained horse. and how about inventory patch for the horse so you could buy some armour for it and a horse blanket, maby somewere to put your lance when unmounted
-  a better cash availability for town merchants. Nonsense that a city like Milan in 1200 with a goods merchant can't be able to buy a third of the commodities he sells...
- One thing I don't like in Warband is, that cavalry units that lose their horses still follow the 'cavalry orders' you gave them. F.e.: you order infantry to keep on a hill and cavalry to charge. Then a cavalry unit loses its horse and keeps chasing after mounted enemy units instead of joining the infantry on the hill. That was much better in M&B I think. It would be great if it was possible to flag units with a 'main unit status' and a secondary one. For example the secondary status tells the units how to behave when they run out of arrows or loose their horse. Maybe too much to ask, but I think it would let units act more intelligent.
- (my idea): Add custom shouts/speach for each faction. E.G.: Dev team give us on english the quotes they want to be used in game, like: charge, halt (stop), fire arrows, attack, move left 10 feet, hold fire, etc. on our native langunage so we record it and post on forum and community or devs take the best and add in game. It would be more awsome than current english/native.

I just want to again give note that this are all suggestion and if they are managable to get in game. Please don't start to rage "Oh this is hard to do" or "We don't know how to make that work". Just post reply on your thoughts if it would be good in game and how we could make it work if it's posible.

P.S. Sorry for spelling errors I literally saw black lines (like when you turn on PC and don't shut down monitor so the background stays there for a while.)

Dude Great work!  I know how you feel bro... I can't tell you how many countless hours I spent looking at TEXTs and texts of straight number lines for the text tweaks.

After a while, it felt like the MATRIX when you see all the lines of code pass by.  haha.  Anyway...allot of great ideas there for sure.

I think some of these must have been from the early onset of Europe 1200 (obviously) because I fairly certain they've been corrected or adjusted.

for example:
-Maybe make crossbows a little bit stronger

Not necessary IMO, I get one shot killed by Top Tier Militia Crossbowmen all the time...usually it's a head shot climbing a latter!!!!    Of course I play 100% full damage and also have a helmet with 52 armor or higher and have at least 60 health points.  Bowmen do to me as well...and if not a One Shot, i'll have only a sliver of life left.

-I have my own kingdom, and when I give my lords a city or a castle they don't receive any towns. So all the towns still belong to me.

Not in the current version

====================================
Also -Towns and villages generate hardly any cash, lords are ransomed for quite frankly a pittance (a lord worth LESS than a piece of chain mail armour?!).

I'm pretty sure I could edit those numbers just with tweaks...

Yeah, you get me

As far for x-bow I wasn't sure if they where edited so I put the suggestion here. I don't use x-bow myself and I usually die from swords   But yes that is from old M&B not Warband.

I have my own kingdom, and when I give my lords a city or a castle they don't receive any towns. So all the towns still belong to me.

I actually had same issue in older version of Warband, but newer version I never had much lords so I didn't have anyone to give anything so I can't say if it's fixed

Towns and villages generate hardly any cash, lords are ransomed for quite frankly a pittance (a lord worth LESS than a piece of chain mail armour?!)

I must agree to this. It's sad to see that a lords life and freedom was worth as a 2H Sword. I usually get around 5-6k gold for them don't know if anything affects the amount of money you receive(persuation?). If you could somehow add it would be awesome. And don't worry, I told you I will make a separate post for your tweaks that you made over the years, I personally used lot of them since they where great. Or we could just leave your without deleting them or moving to archive.

In the "already done" category, you could add (or rather - remove) the following suggestion as well:
"- City recruitment. You get a new option in the city menu, 'Recruit citizens'. It works exactly like the 'Recruit villagers' at the villages, just that it's in the city and could give even more troops."
Recruitment from towns (and castles) has been in since the very start of the Warband port.

true, it didn't occur to me when I was reading it so I put it here. It's been crossed out instead of deleting so people know what u are refering too.
