beside engineers, general officers had to wear a bicorn...but they thought that those things were silly (who could blame them) and most generals wore something else.

Kentucky Rifle, most likely. The Whitworth Rifle wasn't seen often in the war, as it was more expensive than the Kentucky Rifle. The Kentucky Rifle was seen to be the first Confederate sharpshooter's weapon, as it was affordable (it was a sporting/hunting weapon that was used to neutralize targets at long distances), reliable, and accurate.

I made some hats for CSA, but I don't know how to convert it to DDS. Is it just to replace the texture with a DDS version of it?

Skirmishers? Thats the iron brigade Hardee hat...

Skirmishers were regular units, which were choosen by their own regiment and moved in front of the main line

The Iron brigade was not the only unit to wear 1858 U.S. Dress Hats. They were very popular with troops in the western theater like Tennessee and Mississippi

Iron Brigade stuffs!??! Add it!

I think I have told you guys like a thousans times; The hardee hat was regulation for all Union troops, except artillery. They never wore it, indeed. Because when Americans don't like something, they either shoot it or trow it away

Well some Confederates wore Hardee hats too, for example:
6th North Carolina, Flat River Guards
1st South Carolina Rifles

possible, but like everything else, the Confederates had a shortage of uniforms

Plus, those regiments were pre-war militia's
