Puha, I'm at a loss....I finally got my new computer...and it's Win 8.1. Which wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for a rather well-known, but unknown to me at the time, error with the 3.0 USB ports.
Apparently, updating Windows put a funky error on all USB slots, so I am unable to do ANY data transfer on them...meaning my data from my old computer was rather cut in half, before I could copy the rest.

Been trying out the different approaches posted on forums, but to no avail. For now, it seems I will need to re-install the entirety of the new laptop windows (preferrably win 7). As if that weren't enough, I noticed that my previous screencapture soft OBS doesn't seem to work on Win 8.1.

Anyway...I'm not dead! If I can make a comeback, you'll have vids on the best resolution! But right now I'm unsure whether I can rescue my save-files (and any other data on the new laptop), as well as make a screencapture soft work on the new laptop.
