Part 9 is up:

Collecting taxes from Windholm and bashing some outcasts' heads. Rescued the beautiful peasant girl Sheela. Run into a Red Brotherhood ambush, having my last stand to save Sheela from the worst of fates.

Part 10 is up:

Finally found all my companions again, recruited Kaverra the Bodacious Castrator and even 3 willing adventurers! Our small party makes a successul trade run and even find Riva the Bandit Queen. Oh, what's that? A few vanskerry heads to bash in...

I feel bad cause I wouldn't dare to start a game in the same conditions as you did but ...you could parry a few blows in your duels, or is it part of the role play? you know, since you're a berzerk ...no parry?
 
Pretty good gameplay on your player character.

I had quite a laugh when you hesitated to leave the Peasant Women behind. Now that was the wrong decision if I´ve ever seen one.

Just keep in mind that your most important stat as pure infantry melee guy is agility. Not strength (which would be most important if you played an archer). Agility and athletics. And better personal situation awareness to prevent those nasty cavalry strikes from behind. But you´re doing this defintely better than I would.

Nice to see you struggle. Keep it going and once you hit level 20 it should become easier on yourself.

I rarely parry with 2h weapons. It's not a good strategy with good combat AI, because the AI will feint holes in your eyes. Even if you parry, the AI will hit you faster than you can strike back (there are very little exceptions).

No, I didn't parry the D'Shar raider thrust, because I expected him to strike me AFTER he'd flinch me with his horse (and since 2h-hammer is low reach).
I didn't have a lot of other duels...I think...?

And I'm definitely not good enough to chamber parry every attack.

Well, I'm doing my best. Now, how could a proper future hero of Pendor leave a peasant woman behind to RB thieves? At least, she died in the fight, and didn't face a grizzly other fate widespread in Pendor.

I really should go for more agility, but with PS 4, it's just too bad. Hmm...it's difficult. Ok, I'll go to agility next. Damn those throwing weapons, I need to look out better for those...

Excuse my uninformed comment then ^^, I have no idea how's to play against good combat AI. But the first time you were captured I thought omg he's going to pull it off, despite the obvious disadvantage, you had dismounted most of the units. I'm definitely going to follow the adventures of that bald, bearchested berzerker.
 
Mostly you should get a quicker 2h weapon. The hammer is fine but to slow. Go for a cheap and sturdy bastard sword and drop a quiver of throwing spears for a shield. Heck, even the spiked club is better than that big and ugly and most of all, slow, 2h hammer.

Once you can afford it, try a polehammer. They´re nice, shiny and use the polearms skill, just like a decent helly does.

And right you are, it´s totally useless to block with a 2h weapon. You dodge with it, chose your distance and 1hit the opposition. But it´s a hard and long walk towards that moment.

Just don´t forget your agility and weapon master. 18 Str is more than enough early on as 6 PS is more than enough to kill top tier opposition with a decent attack. And once you get the timing for those jumpswings and perfect them you´ll reap cavalry off their horses by the dozens.

Thanks for the support! I'm not really trying to be a professional youtuber, but if some people enjoy my videos, I'm happy to hear that.

Anyways, I have finally finished my trip to Taiwan, and am now in Germany, with less relatives around and more time. So I will be continuing the "berserker" series soon, and hopefully with a little more success. :razz:

Picking up Kaverra in Ishkoman and recruiting a band of bounty hunters! Saving some farmers from Red Brotherhood Slavers and getting my 1st merc contract with the D'Shar. Running into yet another (-.-) ambush by Vanskerries, a clever trap laid out by Jarl Three-Fingers! Back to Singal to assist the D'Shar in a battle against Empire lords and capturing my first lord.

The Talek 1h Warhammer (=Warhammer) or the Knights War Axe if you want to use a 1h weapon, the Polehammer if you want a decent 2h knockknock or the Pendor Great Sword for chop chop chop, the native Morningstar 2h style for massive bollocks and the Koningur Waraxe if you´re man enough to wield it.
