I had made some battles and captured a bit to show what the nice line battle update will bring to the mod.
The next little fight was a hunt down of some bandits at Columbus. I tested some different formations but my most favorite is the 3 rows. The first row knees down, second row stands behind and third row is a bit shifted.
I like the sounds you can make with your saber.

After my heroic battles I tried to hunt down some deserters. And I like how it is possible to use the old abandoned fortifications. But to my sadness they had sharpshooters with them...

Damn deserters had taken everything of me...itself my underwear

Because it was asked and I still have my old savegame from v.0.98 where I was on route to New Orleans with my Settlers Regiment. It was called the Katherine Regiment because I am married to Lady Katherine. ...OK, bad joke. For this I stay for the next 5 minutes in the corner.
... ... ... ... ...Ok. I had just 6 losses. Most of them because of friendly fire

I tried to show some aspects of the artillery. How it is possible to play it and how I like it most.
First rule: Aim every time on your enemy. Means if he is flanking you take the gun and drop it again.
Second rule: "Reloading" of cannons. like at 1:30.
And never do what I have done at 1:45. This looks and feels childish and destroys the immersion of the mod. It's cheating. (my point of view)
I also tried to show a bit how fantastic the line battle improvements are with the ability to form ranks. Big thanks to Harlef for this.
If you compare this annoying line with the ones of the other videos you see how great the improvement is.
It is also great for artillery use because you can make them more compact and it is now much easier to send the own troops in front of you and not to shoot them.

I'm fighting again as Indian. It's really hard to fight against the so called civilization. I really need to outnumber my opponents or I'm too weak to beat them. But thats realistic. And sometimes some Mountain Mans are helping the weak Indians...not just with fire-water. So I have to begin the battles before the armies met. Because of the new added arrows it makes much more fun to fight with a bow. I prefer the Comanche Bow of the mod because arrows are slow enough to see them fly.
At the end of the battle our tribe could pull the white men back to a little pool so they didn't had to die with thirst But on short or long we will loose this war with our huge losses
Because of Gabby had asked to turn of the HUD, I tried and I love to fight without crosshair and so on. thx for this gabby
This makes aiming for revolvers and bows more realistic...not this secure hit on long distances anymore. Only for rifles I need indicators because they are not centered. But it's not bad at all.
