It's indeed Norwegian, a ballad called Helleliti, sometimes Kappen Illuge.
It's part of a tradition of folk songs called ballads that once thrived in all of Northern Europe, and their roots often go back to medieval times. In the 19th century when the national awakening was beginning in Norway, scholars went out and preserved these ballads.

No problem, I'd never heard that one before. A very pretty ballad.  :smile:
You can find many more ballads online. That guy has many Norwegian ones on his channel alone.

I can also recommend the Norwegian band Folque.
