Summary: This crash always happens during siege and only sieges (I wonder if it has something to do with the shaders/textures of the missiles being fired. I have tried installing the latest GPU drivers and it hasn't stopped the crashing and I've tried playing in safe mode and that doesn't help either.
How to Reproduce: Do a siege (I managed to do one siege without a crash but usually it crashes in the first 3-6 minutes)
Have you used cheats and if so which: None and no mods.

Just as an experiment, when moving around the map, enter a city and walk around it. If this also crashes then yes, it's probably old shaders screwing things up.

Find all the shader directories (3 from memory) , delete them then redownload the game and reverify.

You can also try turning off shadows or playing on LOW performance.

This crash is a GPU crash. Which is different from the other crashes that can be caused by gameplay actions. While we are still investigating the issue there is not a definite fix that we can offer to support this issue at the moment. You can try the workaround below but please note that it is not a solid fix. Thanks for reporting. Sorry for any inconvenience.
A possible fix for RGLGPU_DEVICE::LOCK_TEXTURE Crash
If you are crashing in the middle of the game with the “RGLGPU_DEVICE::LOCK_TEXTURE” error, you can try the workaround below to fix it:
Expanding the swap size on your hard disk. You can find more info regarding this here.
